Insert the key into the lock and turn right – the lock works the other way around

Love this! I bought 2 of these boxes to put money inside for birthday gifts. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because one of the boxes didn't have a key and I wouldn't have gotten another one in time if I returned it. So, I had to use the same key for both boxes and thank goodness both birthdays were in the same family.

Took significant amount of time and some small tools to make the lock & Key to function. Latch hook misplaced and key fit is very sloppy. Not impressed with the hardware.

Adorable and very clever little puzzle box. I tried and tried to figure it out, but ultimately had to resort to the directions to figure it out. I purchased this as a gift for someone and I think the recipient will love it! It's small, but if you want to hide a little money or small trinket, pendant or good luck charm it is perfect. Very well made!

cute little puzzle if you know the trick its easy but if not it takes just a bit of work to figure out. There's a bit of a clue since one panel is slightly loose but overall it does not give away the whole trick. good little box.

I did not expect finally tuned jewelry box quality woodwork, but this could use a little more attention to detail. Plus, well it is a three-step solving puzzle there's no word on how to start. There is a solution sealed in the mailing box but I don't want to open that without trying to solve it first. But it would be nice to know where to start.
