If your goal is to just play some loud music outside, or wire up a couple mics for some Karaoke, this is a decent choice. If you're looking for excellent music clarity and reproduction and deep bass, this isn't it. Depending on the kind of music, it's passable. But with a very non-critical ear, I can say that the sound is overall pretty muddy and is easily beaten by a small Sonos speaker a quarter if its size.Pros:The design of the cabinet is well thought out, with large handles, and bumpers on the sides and bottom to accomodate any orientation. It's lightweight, and easy to haul out to the sand or BBQ. A slot on the top easily accommodates a phone or tablet. Easy to control mic volume and echo with 2 mic inputs make this a great option for Karaoke.Cons:The cacophony of startup sounds and voiceovers when starting the unit: "Welcome to Pyle!" "Bluetooth Mode!" "Pairing!" "Paired!" is annoying. Battery status could be communicated in a little more detail. Currently there's a 3-segment led display for full, half and empty. The lightshow doesn't remember its last setting when powered down, so you have to click through 11 ridiculous animations to get to the off position each time you power on if you don't want the lights. Low battery alery gave about 2 minutes warning befire the unit died. Radio function is temperamental, with just a seek function, and no way to manually select a frequency.

This is a pretty nice portable speaker. We have some backyard parties at our house each year where we invite the neighbors and friends. Not like a drinking party with loud music, but food, games, we watch an outdoor movie on the projector, and we do listen to music. I had a smaller speaker, but it just wasn't loud enough to reach the whole yard. This is! I like that I can attach an amazon echo to it so we can listen to my amazon playlists or even ask Alexa to play a particular song. (I could also use an app and bluetooth with my phone, but I am often away from the speaker and like to have my phone with me.) We attach the movie projector via the aux plug.The loudness isn't like a professional speaker, but it is good for a backyard. The voice that comes on is certainly not an american english native speaker, so that does make it a bit of a giveaway that it is a made-in-china type of quality (which I think detracts from it.) The lights are fine, but I don't really need them. I haven't (yet) figured out how to just turn them off altogether (but admittedly haven't fooled around with it too too much.)Overall, it is a decent speaker for more robust listening. You aren't going to shake the house with this, but for the price it is louder than a little 6 inch bluetooth speaker. It's nice that you have other inputs (though a RCA input would have been nice.) I also wish it charged with a usb C or something easily replaceable if the charger gets lost or damaged. Tip: Write "Pyle" or "speaker" or something the charger with silver sharpie or a label so it won't be a mystery plug in a few months because it has no identifying markings (the remote does have a name on it.) I did take a star because it is indeed big and I thought it would be a little louder.

I purchased this speaker to go camping and was very apprehensive about how it would sound outside. Most speakers are loud inside, but when you take them outside, it doesn't work as well. This speaker was LOUD!!! I highly recommend this speaker if you're having an event outdoors; it works perfectly. I also love the equalizer that it has on top and the microphone. We did karaoke, and it sounded great!!! I had it plugged up the entire time, so I'm not sure how good the battery life is to review that part. But I will assume that's all good as well.

I am so happy we bought this speaker for the holidays. It is our new favorite party accessory (people already want to borrow it lol). It is sturdy enough that I can place it on any flat surface and not worry. We had it on an end table in the living room and you could hear the music all over the house. We have also used it in the backyard and everyone could hear the music fine. The remote control makes it easy to use and we were able to keep it at a volume the neighbors would not be annoyed with. I love that it not only connects to my Bluetooth, USB, micro SD as well as FM radio.There is never a shortage of choices for music. You can add a microphone and have an awesome karaoke machine. The adjustable echo feature means you will always sound your best. It even comes with a carrying bag that can be worn like a backpack so moving it is never a problem.

Gets loud enough for a backyard or small gathering, and the built-in battery lasts a good chunk of the day. Sound quality is decent, but build is light-duty—not meant for pro use. Charging port placement is a little awkward, and the included cable is short. Still, for the price, it’s a good value for casual use.

While this speaker system is quite compact, it has a lot of power, 160 watt peak power and sounds great - the sound quality is clear and crisp. The small size, yet large sound that comes from this makes it great for parties, outdoor events or just general use in the home. It is wireless, making it easy to use anywhere you need. The battery life is impressive, as I can use it nearly all day and not worry about having to charge it up. It's compatible with bluetooth devices like my phone. It’s been great for get togethers. My favorite feature is the lights. The lights definitely give a party-like atmosphere.
