I review microphones and I am also a audio enthusiast and I wasn't really expecting to like this little USB microphone that much but I'm going to tell you what, it sounds quite decent, has some great features and I'm pretty sure your average person would be more than happy with this, it's so much better than what I was expecting. It may not give you professional quality sound but it'll get you pretty darn close, I wouldn't try and use it for a voice acting gig or record professional music with it but you can do a professional YouTube channel or a professional podcast or anything like that and this would be a great choice for somebody looking for a USB microphone

A very nice fairly compact USB condenser microphone. The sound quality is excellent and you don’t have to be directly in front of it or very close to get a good sound. That does mean that it can pick up background noise or room echo but the in built DSP seems to remove much of that. The monitor output is good and there is a physical volume control but there is no balance between the microphone monitor and the USB sound so you have to adjust for the mic level and use the computer for the USB level.The software that Rode supplies is good and easy to use and allows adjusting the settings of the DSP as well the main features of each application (streaming, podcasting etc). Although not designed for use with a phone I found that it works well with my iPhone 16 and I’ve used it for the sound source when recording videos. For a little over £60 it’s well worth it.

In Microsoft Teams-Meetings erfasst es meine Stimme klar und deutlich, selbst in einem Raum mit Echo. Das Mikrofon scheint genau zu erkennen, was es aufnehmen soll – ausschließlich die Stimme, und das mit einem angenehmen Klang.Für Podcasts und YouTube hat sich das XCM-50 schnell als mein bevorzugtes Mikrofon etabliert. Im Vergleich zu anderen, günstigeren Mikrofonen, die ich zuvor getestet habe, liefert das RØDE eine durchweg überlegene Qualität. Es verbessert meine Aufnahmen signifikant und sorgt für einen professionellen Klang.Ein Abstand von etwa 20-30cm zum Mikrofon ist ideal für Studioaufnahmen, während ich bei Online-Meetings den Abstand auf 40-50cm erhöhe. The RØDE X XCM-50 Professional USB Condenser Microphone measures 8.25" x 7.35" x 3.6" and weighs 1.08 pounds. Included in the box with this RØDE X XCM-50 Professional USB Condenser Microphone is a swing mount, headphone extension cabling, and a USB cable. What's also included is Rode Unify software. When I first purchased the RØDE X XCM-50 Professional USB Condenser Microphone 6 months ago there was no version of this software for Mac. There is now a beta version of Rode Unify software so the device should work fine on both platforms.I have used this RØDE X XCM-50 Professional USB Condenser Microphone for dozens of meetings, a couple of test streams, and recording audio for work and personal interests. Whatever I threw at this RØDE X XCM-50 Professional USB Condenser Microphone it handled admirably. While you can get some dynamic mics that better isolate directional sound, if you need to work with another person to capture their audio as well then this RØDE X XCM-50 Professional USB Condenser Microphone has an edge. There's also the added benefit of dedicated software from the hardware manufacturer. While you can certainly use other pieces of software, what makes the RØDE X XCM-50 Professional USB Condenser Microphone a complete solution is that it comes with the mic, all hardware accessories needed in-the-box and dedicated software.What I liked most about this RØDE X XCM-50 Professional USB Condenser Microphone was:- It was a complete solution for my needs- This mic sounded better than the other condenser mics I owned- The software experience was intuitive and is now available on MacWhat I liked least about this RØDE X XCM-50 Professional USB Condenser Microphone was:- It took a few months after purchase to get a beta version of Unify software on Mac- The included mic stand is not the most premium one you'll ever useOverall, if you are in the market for a one-box solution for online meetings, podcasting, voiceovers, streaming or the like then this RØDE X XCM-50 Professional USB Condenser Microphone should be on your shortlist. 本体が小さく、机に置いても邪魔になりません。オーディオインターフェースも必要がないので配線もごちゃごちゃしないのが便利。音質的にも特別いいわけではないけど、安定した音で運用できます。ノイズはかなり少ないかと思います。１点残念なのは付属のUnifyというソフトがMacに対応していないことです。本領を発揮させるにはWindowsで使うことをオススメします。
