I use this tool all the time. I'm fairly new in the hvac world and this has come in handy. Helps you diagnose many problems and has formulas you can use. I keep this in my tool bag and I'm probably gonna have to order another one because mine is getting beat up. Highly recommend this.

The super cool slide rule is great. Has all sorts of formulas and equations on it. Ohms law and stuff, troubleshooting txv. Things like that. Even has a pt chart and ductolator. Really well built. Easy to read and use. The edges of mine are starting to fray some. But all in all a great item to have in the service truck or in my tool bag.

This item itself is great, my husband has used at school and likes the information and ease of use. The issue with this one is there is a sticker from Amazon on the back that renders some of the area unreadable. It was a warehouse deal, but there is more damage from the Amazon stickers than any wear indicated in the listing. Trying to get a replacement from Amazon.

I am pretty impressed. What I like about it is that you can continuously slide the rule as the pressures change, which will re-index the saturation temperature over zero (0) for any given pressure. For example, if I slide R22 to 80 PSIG, 48 indexes with zero (0) because this is the saturation temperature. Now, let's say you need 10 degrees of super-heat, you would look directly above the 10 and find 58 because 58 is 10 more than the 48 above. Now let's say your line temp was 68 F you would look down below that at 20 and know you have 20 degrees of superheat, which is 10 too much. Then as you add some refrigerant if the pressure goes up, you would ever so slightly slide the rule and that would dynamically change the target line temperature for that pressure over the 10 degrees of superheat you want. Really, nothing is easier or more accurate unless you just buy a digital manifold guage-set like iConnect, Testo, SMAN etc.
