Hubby bought these for his truck and they are great! Smooth ride even with a trailer hooked up! We recently hauled a Yukon XL on the trailer from Illinois to Tennessee and it was a decent ride!

Coating vanished. Adjusters seized up, strut mounts disintegrated, fluid lost, pounded frame. All by a 74 year old man in 17400 KM. will post detailed pics after I hear from Rancho warranty.

The clunking noise seems common, the shock bushings they provide aren't sized correctly. The answer from Rancho is to bend your vehicle brackets inward and over torque the mount bolts. The adjusters freeze up and become nearly impossible to use very soon after installation, had to disassemle and lubricate just to get them working at all.IMO these are junk.

These shocks were installed on my 2011 Ram 1500 Laramie. I have them set for ride at 7. This is the happy median for luxury and hardcore trucking.

Nice shocks, but the RS9000 struts squeak.

Installed on 2016 RAM 1500 4x4 5.7l - Much superior ride. I have set for 'stiffest' ride. Truck now corners much better, and takes the big bumps without all the bounce,,, good feel.

I have had these on my truck for about 10,000 miles. I'm ordereing Bilstein to replace them.I installed the first set, and discovered a few days in one shock had no pressure. Rancho sent me back to the seller who would take the return, but would not provide a shock in advance. That all was worked out eventually, When I was sent another shock that the adjustment does not work on.My biggest issue; The shocks endlessly clunk from the top mount. After 3 calls to Tenneco and trying all of their suggestions I give up. I've ripped apart the rear end so many times trying to find the clunk, that I've ordered a pair of Bilstein shock like I had on my old Ram.

Used rancho on my jeep wrangler 6years ago and have had great results so decided to put them on my ram truck.lift the back and in 30 min. units were installed. I guess thats a kudos to ram. The ride is much stiffer....just what I was looking for. However with the adjustment dial I could soften it up if I so desired. Just couldn't get used to the cadilac ride of the stock Ram trucks. This and the quick lift struts for the front are a great complimentary pair. Feels like a truck should. Controls the sway much better while pulling my toy hauler.I really didn't need to change my shocks at 40000 miles but I'm sure glad I did.

Shocks are great. Do exactly what I need with easy adjustment by hand if I decide to tow one of my trailers. Would buy over and over.

I was a little skeptical at first, but my son talked me into buying these for my 2012 Ram 1500. Installed them, set them to 7 and love them. I installed them as I was also putting Rancho RS999944(L)/RS999930(R) Quick Lift Loaded Struts in my truck. Set all to 7 and the truck no longer wallows and acts as if it is on tracks.Hints and tips for installing on Rams. Please read all the way -- you will keep your sanity if you get a 22mm Crows Foot from Lowes or some other hardware store (I couldn't find a 21mm). Also, don't pay a lot of money for it -- you'll see why below.Start on passenger side:a) take out the two inner splash guard/fender liner/wheel well liner -- 10mm bolts (you will push it in wo get the upper shock bolt out)b) Use a 21mm socket on the outer upper boltc) Use a 22mm (closest that Lowes had) crow foot on the inside upper bolt. Need a small extension.d) Use 2 21mm sockets on bottome) Reverse processOn driver's side:a) Don't freak out when you realize the gas tank is in the wayb) take out the two inner splash guard/fender liner/wheel well liner -- 10 mm bolts (you will push it in to get the upper shock bolt out)c) Start at the top shock boltd) Use the crow foot by itself -- just put it on the inside upper nut. You don't need to try to work your way over the gas tank. Just work your way up to the top of the shock tower from the front. It is tight.e) Use a 21mm socket for the upper bolt. As you rotate, the crow foot will lodge itself so that the bolt will screw out.f) Use 2 21mm sockets for bottomg) Reverse the process. Hint -- assume that the crows foot will just stay upper -- as you tighten the upper bolt, it will lodge itself into the mount. Leave it there.... It will stay on the bolt until the next time you replace the shocks. Just start on the drivers side when you replace these shocks.A little frustrating because in the previous Gen Dodges, the engineers actually had something engineered into the upper shock nuts so you didn't have to do this.
