Many of my big box store RCs come with wheels that are way off balance. My Mini Maxx tire in the pic was one of them. This tire balancer was easy to assemble with just two screws on the bottom. The screws and alan wrench are all included, so there was no need for me to grab anything for assembly. The spindle is very level as soon as you insert it into the apex of the stand. Checked it with a level and it was pretty much right on point. When I put the spindle in the weight of it held it when I rotated the tire and never slipped out. There is an additional screw that goes across near the top of the stand. I thought that was for tightening the spindle in place but the threading stops it from tightening all the way. So I am not really sure of its purpose, but either way the spindle does really well on staying in place and rotates nicely. The end result is I am able to balance the tires better with this stand versus my handheld.If the top screw is supposed to serve as a clamp I suggest the designer just get rid of the threads on one side. That would allow the screw to pull adjacent towards it. But I balanced 4 Traxxas Mini Tires and the spindle remained in place without the screw. So honestly I do not think the screw is needed because it worked perfectly for me without it.Overall very pleased with both the performance and appearance.
