This is way smaller than expected. The pictures all show way bigger. It is a different color than a sapphire, but they state that it is washed with an acid to make the color enhanced and you can wash off. I am most disappointed in the size since it lookes like it would be a bit bigger and my son would be able to wear it in the gemstone necklace I bought him, but he can't.

It is a beautiful gem. It was packed with care and arrived unharmed. Thank you!

Why is the Blue in a blue Saffire running? That doesn’t scream EGL to me. Sold as “Natural raw Gemstone”I wanted to use this as a gift. I went to “seal” the rock with varathane, so I could add jewelry finds & so the rock would appear wet & make it’s colors would be more prominent. Now I have blue dye on paper towels and my fingers.Wasn’t aware that REAL raw gems colors ran! I’m very upset. I’m using these as gifts and telling family & friends they’re real raw gems.Grrrrrrr!! Are we both getting scammed or just me?

I assumed that the picture was more dazzling than the actual stone would be. I was mistaken. This is a gorgeous piece!
