This blanket seems really nice. The straps have a lot of adjustablity and the neck piece is removable. I gave the blanket 4 stars because- despite all the pictures in listing- the belly straps hook on the right- and not the left. It's a little awkward to put on because of that. Hopefully it holds up well to my mares shenanigans. We have a storm coming and I will update on waterproof and warmth after that!

Do not waste your money on this blanket. The workmanship is poor and it started falling apart on day 3. Purchased this to replace a 7 year old blanket that was no longer waterproof but otherwise good shape. It says high 1800 D. After 2 weeks, stitching has come undone and is torn, leg strap D ring has fallen off, fraying at buckle straps and small tear in outer fabric. This is not worth unpacking in my opinion. Loved the color, but not the workmanship.

This arrived just in time for the first snow. Normally I wouldn’t blanket as we live in the south, but my horse’s health is not good, and he is 30 years old. The light snow we had would have stressed him but he stayed warm with the blanket. He was a large quarter horse so the blanket was a good size.

This blanket was very disappointing, the front closure was strange and fit way too low on the chest. Would not buy this as a winter blanket.

This blanket was really good quality but it fit a bit weird. I'd say it runs about a size larger and it would fit a horse that is a little wider in the shoulder.

This is a robust insulated blanket. It feels very solid and looks to be able to stand up to some hard use. All of the details are well made, with thoughtful features. (Examples: the straps are wide, and soft -- much like an car seatbelt. Intended for winter, the blanket drops down on all sides. The neck piece is detachable for less harsh conditions, with robust attachments.Size seems to be accurately portrayed, a rarity.
