I bought this from another source. It hasn't gotten cold enough to test for warmth yet, but my initial impression is that it would keep me fairly warm. I would not call it "Heavy Weight", but perhaps "Medium Weight" in terms of warmth. The sleeves are a little short, overall length is pretty good. Maybe a little short if you want to keep it tucked in, but not bad. I'm between a large and a extra large and bought the extra large. I would say they run a little small...so I would order up, if you are in between sizes, like I am.But the real issue is the neck. It's really large. The pictures here are either deceiving, or I got a flawed product. The neck is much larger than the photographs here. Almost like it's been stretched out. You lose a lot of heat around your head and neck and the fact that it's so large really concerns me. I know I didn't order a turtle neck, but this is unusually large. I will have to address that when keeping warm, with either a tight necked base layer or something around my neck. One other item....not sure it's a flaw, but the first time I wore it, my wife said, "You have that on backwards, don't you?" Because there is an emblem on the front, right under the neck, that is usually something on the back of most shirts. Not a big deal...but is a little strange. Some people might like it.It's a decent baselayer if you can find it on sale, but the neck size is really a drawback in my opinion.
