The mixture had no slow speed. It threw the food all over-the-counter because it was such a high-speed mixer on all levels. I haven't had it all that long and the other day it just stopped working. Motor was racing but the beaters were not turning. I have owned it over 30 days so I would know I won't get a refund but I'm very disappointed as I thought of this as the top of the line brand.

Thought it was metal but finish is plastic. Works very well, easy to use, clean.
