The overall look of this is nice, but the actual product is different from what is shown in the description, mainly in the waist area, which is supposed to be cinched. While the material is soft, it's extremely thin and cheap. The sizing on this also runs very small and is short (so if you are tall or have a long waist, this isn't going to fit right). For the cost, I didn't have major expectations, and even then this fell short of those.

I dont know why the other reviews are complaining about it being costume material when it is exactly that, a costume. Think, one step above a walmart bagged costume. The material is thin and lightweight making it very breathable. Its soft and has a working corset front and back so you can adjust a little bit to your size and preference. The off the shoulder sleeves are elegant and long with an elastic at the wrists so you can even wear them pulled up for a more puff sleeve. The black detailing along the top is a nice touch. Its perfect for a pirate, steampunk or Renaissance costume. Key word, costume. Not a daily wear blouse.

This top is very cute and the material is strong and pleasant to the touch, but the sizing is way too small. I might've needed something two full sizes larger just to fit into it I think.

First off the sizing chart was very accurate - the only downside is the length is short so one either needs to wear a skirt high around the waist or supplement with a corset underneath. The material is also pretty thin so some form of support will be needed as the strings / lacing is more for looks than it is for actual functionality as a corset (the product photos show a sort of thicker middle section but in reality it's just thin material without any boning / structural type support inside to use as corset as intended). Overall it is very flattering and period correct for a renaissance faire or costume and with proper undergarments could be worn out for a party or date just as easily.

The material is soft and drapes well. The fit is true to size and the top is flattering on, shaping to all the right curves. There are no missed stitches or loose threading. The cinches are a nice quality ribbon and, along with the lace accents, add to the femininity of this top.Overall, this will make a great top for a renfest, pirate party or just a night out on the town! For show or go, this one will have you ready!

My wife picked this up for an upcoming Renaissance Faire, and I’ve got to say, she looked absolutely fantastic in it. From the flattering cut to the dramatic sleeves, it was a hit both with the crowd and, more importantly, with her. This runs super small. I normally wear a large top since I'm busty. I got an XL and it's super short on me (I am 5'2" and do NOT have a disproportionate torso) and does NOT fit. I had to unlace it entirely and then once it was on, it was way too short - the bottom hem doesn't come anywhere near the top of normal pants. Between the short length and lack of material in general, this is about 2 sizes smaller than advertised. I was hoping to use it for my Renn Faire costume, but there's no way I can leave the house in this top. Bummer because the color would have let me wear it with just about any of my skirts and corsets.
