Bought this for our very old Nuvi 1450 that wouldn't hold a charge anymore. The new battery fits perfectly and came with a 75% charge.

it was perfect... part, tools to do the job, followed Youtube video.... piece a cake. Only took a handful of days from when I ordered on line. til it hitting my mailbox. Highly recommend. I usually don't give reviews but experience was wonderful.

Once the Garmin was cracked open, the battery replacement is a no-brainer.

Package arrived without directions, as others have previously pointed out. The video on YouTube was helpful. Also, like many before me, the pry tool was quite flimsy--needed something firmer to pry the case apart. However in the end, it turned out that a new battery was not the solution to my dead Nuvi, and the dealer graciously gave me a full refund (minus shipping)

Had some difficulty disassembling my Garmin unit. The tools provided really helped, but the one plastic "pry" tool (for removing the faceplate rim) was starting to deteriorate from the effort; a metal tool would have been more useful (I believe). No instructions came with the battery and tools, but I was able to secure instructions off the internet ... which really helped a great deal. Once completed, however, the unit powered-up and worked fine!

I would agree with some others that the tool (especially the plastic tool meant to separate the case from the faceplate) was too flimsy, but the included screwdriver did "ok" for that piece.Overall this took me about an hour to do but I was trying extra hard to be careful and not break any of the snaps, not lose any screws, etc.I can't speak much for how long the battery will last long term, but the battery that was in there was only lasting about 5 minutes and this one lasts at least a few hours, so that's a huge improvement.

It was difficult to open the Garmin. I destroyed the screen the battery worked fine. More fault with the Garmin than the battery. I ended up purchasing another Garmin GPS. I would recommend taking the Garmin apart before ordering the battery. It is difficult to return the product.

The battery is great. It fit perfectly, and has a long life. The tools provided did not fit the fasteners of the Nuvi, and were unusable. Fortunately, I already had some tools that I was able to use to complete the battery exchange.
