Clogged hoses, dirt build up, and poor connections may cause loss of suction, but the truth is that you may need a new hose.
Is my hose disconnected?
- There are multiple points at which the hose could become disconnected: the intake of the motor, near the bottom of the vacuum where the hose routes to behind the brush roll and in-between if your vacuum has a hose attachment.
- Make sure all the joints are fully connected and sealed, as they can sometimes be jostled loose during use.
- And something as simple as a loose hose connection will make your vacuum ineffective and blow dust around rather than suck it up.
What's causing loss of suction?
Clogs? Hole? Disconnected? Dirt build up?
There are a few reasons your vacuum may not be working as well as it did when it was brand new.
While checking, take the time to look inside the hoses for clogs or build-up.
- You can use pipe cleaners or even your fingers to remove debris near the end of a hose. But if there is debris out of reach, you may be able to remove the hose altogether and shake the debris out.
- Larger items picked up by the vacuum can get lodged in a hose, which will negatively impact the power of the suction.
- Check your hose connections around your vacuum to ensure it hasn;t come loose anywhere.
- Truth may come down to needing a new hose.

This hose is very stiff, doesn't bend as easily as my original. Therefore, lots of twists I need to undo and knocks things over. I find it frustrating to use.

It screws one correctly. The front angled attachment is somewhat short and needs holding (or is it the size because of copyright?).Needed it, works.

It is lighter weight than the original one that came with Henry but it's longer & works greatAboveIs a pre written review. It is trueBut I have a cleaning business I used it 5 nights a week about 45 minutes a night & it lasted 1 year

So this hose does NOT fit my original Henry 'Wand" ....This hose is smaller in diameter than the original Henry hose....It is impossible to get a hose with the same diameter as the original Henry....why?....no ideaMy wife was able to get a 'repair' part (after painful research)I Love The Henry Vacuum....The new replacement is ok but just NOT the same...price is good though

Works as described. I have a cleaning service so it gets alot of use. The end cracked after many months but electrical tape did the trick to fix. Great price on Amazon.

I bought this product to replace the exact same part on the original Henry. The plastic end where the medal shaft slides into, generally the area where you hold the vacuum by had broken about 3 months after I bought the Henry. This replacement part is much cheaper than the other ones that I found and so far it has held up perfectly. It has not been quite three months yet, but if anything changes I will update this review.
