It all has to do with how you put it on.. You don't push it all the way up against the end of the shaft. It won't last long if you do..

As stated above. Don’t go by the bush hog part number. Pull the seal first. The part number on the bush hog illustrated part will give you the wrong part. The seal I ordered didn’t fit.

I have ordered two of these at separate times, the first time all went well. The second time the correct part number was on the bag but an incorrect seal was inside. Too big for the application.
