The background is printed on moisture-resistant, UV-resistant, PVC material. Just use clear adhesive tape to attach to the outside of your terrarium; both sides and back. I really like that these are 3 sided and made precut for different size tanks but the graphics are stretched out if you have a bigger tank like mine (which is a 20 gal long).
