Poor instructions. Isn’t working with a timer controller. Lights burn out quickly.

I bought this in Dec 2023 and it has worked great. It’s only a 50 watt so it’s best for smaller tanks but I’ve used it for two different tanks because of the way you can point the bulbs in different directions. It has a timer so you can do a day cycle and have it auto turn off. The only downside is once I moved my tanks went on a bookshelf so you have to get creative with the clip which if you don’t have a lid on your tank would be fine. Easy to use and a great value as it works great more than a year later.

I will update this after I've used it for a while, but the set up was incredibly easy, however the clips were very difficult to clip in (I had my husband help me, but we'll ignore that). I have it angled two different ways for each of my turtles.UPDATE: So I bought this tank in Spetember, it is the day after Christmas and my tank has a MASSIVE crack in it. This was a brand new tank that I bought at the same time as the lamp. The lamp was close to the glass, but not touching, but the glass underneath where the crack is WAS SCORCHING HOT. Do not recommend this for your turtles.After speaking to some more experienced handlers, apparently there's better lights that are more appropriate for proper shell growth. Please do your research and don't skimp out on cheap stuff for your turtles. I learned the hard way.

We bought one last year and used it all winter for the cats in the breezeway and it works great at keeping them toasty in a cold area. We bought this one this year to put out in the garage for our cats that insist on being outside no matter how cold it is.
