Nice pickup, installed in a vintage 1977 Takamine 12 string and it gets a lot of compliments on tonal quality when I play it out at various venues. Did a permanent install after a trial. Convenient to charge and use with the built in rechargeable battery. Turns on when you plug cable into jack. Easily balance humbucker with the mic. Good quality and value. Recommend for permanent install.

1) The DCR is about 3K ohms with volume set for max. 2) The peak resitance at the output jack is about 13K, so I conclude the volume pot is 25K, which is rather low. 3) I tested the magnetic field with a gauss meter, it's about 330 mG, and there's only one magnetic field. 4) So this seems to be a stacked coil humbucker. 5) On the plus side, it is well shielded and does not pickup AC hum; and the tone is actually pretty good. 6) As others mentioned, the volume is rather low. An inexpensive boost pedal would help if needed. Note, the volume depends on how close the strings are to the pickup. Although the pickup height is not adjustable, it wouldn't be too hard to add some pads to raise it up, get the pickup closer to the strings. Might also need longer mounting screws.

I installed a K.. piezo setup in acoustic guitar and lined up sensors in center of the bridge. Then I placed these sensors outside the x braces ( they are too big to fit directly under the e strings next to the other sensors) and wired them in stereo.Couldn’t be happier with the result!I can blend the two and have even attack on all six strings, and was surprised to hear not only bass response but also the chamber echo!Great value for money.

With its price, the quality is okay. If you want high quality, you should spend more money
