I was disappointed. The product was small and difficult to use. The rasp was not coarse enough to make a difference. In Western Australia at this time of the year the ground is very dry which causes cracking and breaking of the hoof. I had hoped to use this product to keep my horses' hooves tidy in between the farrier doing them. It did not come up to my expectations.

But it is a little awkward to use, especially if you have bad wrists and not so nimble fingers. But it does get minor jobs done.

Absolutely love it!! I have 34 Nigerian Dwarf goats and it would take me FOREVER to get their hooves done. This rasp is absolutely perfect for getting those hooves trimmed quickly and with less effort. Will definitely recommend and buy again! ❤

I bought this so I could take care of my horse's hoof flares inbetween farrir visits. I really like the idea of this thing, but it was essentially impossible to really alter a hoof with this rasp. Rasping for minutes on end would produce almost no change (luckily my horses are excellent and patient). This might be good for frequent, minute rasping, but for anything more it's more trouble than it's worth. I'd be fine with it if it just took a while, but a sheet of sandpaper would have done a lot more. The handle was difficult to use in the position you need to be in while handling a hoof for rasping -- not impossible, just difficult.I'm going to try it on my goats when they come due for a trim (I don't usually use a rasp on them, but we'll see). It's not a bad product, you just need to be clear on what it's for... tiny, tiny frequent raspings or maybe really really soft hooves, or maybe as a finishing rasp or something. It might be more useful on animals besides horses. Honestly for horses I'd recommend looking for a different product.

I like using this to help when trimming my goat's feet. It's awesome for trimming any rough edges after clipping the worst off. Also great for young goats in getting them used to having foot work done as a training tool.

I bought this for trimming sheep's hooves and am thrilled with its function. The rasp fits well in my hands, does a beautiful job refining the trim and is well-made. It would work well for goats as well. A must for any shepherd or goatherd's toolkit. Thanks!

I bought these to do the hooves of my 4 Nigerian dwarfs. I love it, it does exactly what I need and has really improved their hooves.

I wanted a mini rasp for my goats but I wanted it to be cheaper and user friendly since I am not a professional. This was a perfect purchase. It's small enough to be comfortable in your hand and to use with smaller pygmy goats. It is very durable and has held up great so far. I'd recommend it for any goat owners.

Easy to handle and smaller to transport compared to a long rasp.
