The 9’ rod weighs just 100g 3.5oz and the 7’ rod 70g 2.5oz . The super compact 8 sections are protected by an 18” 45cm Cordura carry tube, where each section has its own pocket.

The rod feels pretty nice I’ve done a few practice cast in both 4 and 6 weightI don’t know about the value for money since I haven’t fished it but it fits in a small case (I’m keeping it in a draw in my bedroom) and I can’t see and issue with it except for the different pockets in the case can be sit together and get lost leading you to needing to take pieces out to re organise the caseI will edit once I have properly fished with this rod

Rigged and Ready has the best customer service. I purchased this last November for my husband and he accidentally broke the tip this summer on a fishing trip. I contacted riggedandready directly and they replaced the tip no hassle. I just had to pay shipping. Great company, and great product.

I like the option of having both a 6wt and a 4wt on hand. It fits together well and looks well made. The rod comes with a card with a QR code to register, find on Amazon, find on Instagram, connect to the riggedandready.net site, and for instructions. The code for the instructions takes you to instructions for their items with more sections but no instructions for the infinite 2 in 1. I was a little nervous to assemble and start jamming pieces together but it is intuitive. The first two larger sections go with the larger handle then add the rest. Skip the first two larger sections and use the smaller handle for the lighter rig. A little bit of room in the travel case to carry a neck gaiter, small fly box, or the like. Could put a click and pawl reel in there but I think it would bounce too much unless you wrapped it. Sturger case so nothing should damage the rod. Fits in luggage or on a backpack. I will need to see what line matches best and what reel will balance the rod. Not expecting it to be so sensitive it can sense a dragonfly landing on the line, but it will serve my purpose well.

I bought this 2 in 1 rod because I tend to cycle when I go fishing and was annoyed at carrying my 4 piece in a longer case.So was a bit sceptical about whether this rod would perform well as it's in 6 - 8 pieces (depending on which of the 2 rods you set up) and also of it's quality. I was also concerned when I read it was a "fast medium" action rod that it might be too fast for me.It turns out that the rod is surprisingly good quality for the money. The cork is a good standard. On the 7 footer it's very smooth indeed. And the finishings are good quality such as the rosewood wooden seat section on the 7' rod is a nice touch. The case is excellent. It's small and inside it has sections to put the rod pieces.The rod casts wel. It just feels medium action to me. The 9 ft 6 wt casts decent with a 7 wt line, and also did well with a 6 wt. I tried an intermediate 7 wt line in strong wind on reservoir recently and was surprised to knock out almost the whole line with just just two false casts. The 7 foot rod is lovely with the 4 wt line I'm using. get plenty of bend into the butt with smaller fish, and also it casts very accurately at short distance for river fishing. You can actually add an extra section to the shorter rod set-up extending it to maybe 7.5' which I normally prefer. So take your pick!If I wanted any improvements? Perhaps the heavier casting rod to also have a wooden reel-seat section, and be more like 9.5 - 10 ft instead. Also one thing I would definitely suggest for improvement is the rod rings could do with being a bit wider for easier casting of the line. But this is nit-picking.I'd give htis rod 4/5 for its potential improvements but at the same time this is an amazing piece of kit for the money! I'm over the moon with it to be honest. It made portability a cinch, and also enables me easily to swap between different set ups for river or reservoir, smaller fish or bigger fish, and also to even try a lighter set up with bigger fish, for delicate presentation when needed - and also to experience a better fight !!!Highly recommend this rod if you are a beginner, need portability, want 2 rods for price of one and versatility !P.S. The company also have an aamzing warranty and will replaced broken rod tip no cost and repairs for up to 2 years!***UPDATE - I recently after a few months broke the rod tip. Not sure why it happened exactly BUT I am so pleased to contact the company and they were super friendly, no questions asked sent me a new rod tip in the post, which arrived on the day I was due to go fishing again! They even included a few free fishing floats, although I don't use them because I fly fish only. But anyway GREAT Customer Service! And I have updated this review to 5 stars now as I've had such a great experience, both with the rod AND the service provided. ***

Just what I wanted for travelling around in our motorhome. Very good quality and the best of both worlds to cover my fly fishing needs on my travels and compact enough to carry in my rucksack.

I’ve always been an avid fisherman since I was like 4. I got hooked early pun intended lol. This travel rod is something that when you get it and start using it. Your gonna think why did I wait this long to get one like this. It’s very solid but ultra light. You can feel everything with this one. There’s been so many times I’d be driving through an area and I’d be thinking wow that looks like a killer spot. It always seem to happen when I didn’t have my fishing pole with me. But now I love it because you can take this one anywhere and it takes up almost no space! If you like fly fishing get this.

What I really like is how compact and versatile this is. And with 2 different weights, it's good for almost all freshwater fishing. You can take it with you to any camping or hiking that could have a river for fishing. Now for the other part, it's a stiff rod, that doesn't bend very well. Not the best quality rod but a very decent one.

The first thing to point out here is that I do not do fishing. However, my partner is a keen fisherman. He currently mainly does coarse fishing, and was itching to try fly fishing. I cannot describe the delight on his face when this arrived and I gave it to him !!The “kit” includes a 2-in-1 rod (8 and 6 section rod), and two handles. This gives a choice of 9’ rod or a 7’ rod. The rod sections are made from high-modulus toray carbon which have dots to help align them. The two handles are made from A-Grade cork and one is a full well grip, whilst the other is a half well grip “Fighting butt”.Also included is a lovely bright blue travel bag which neatly contains all the rod sections. It is very well padded and fastens with a zipper around the top. It has a handy carry handle. The tube has divided sections inside enabling each section of the rod to be housed in it’s own compartment.My partner tells me that this is an excellent rod, feeling sturdy but lightweight. The fact it is a travel rod makes it perfect for taking up to our caravan in the Lake District. Interestingly the included card shows that the rod was actually designed in Kendal, which is close to where our caravan is situated. The rod includes a 2 year guarantee.I am very happy to recommend this rod based on what my partner has told me. I’ve definitely earned Brownie points by getting it for him as he’s over the moon with it. Better still I get some peace and quiet while he’s off fishing !! It’s a Win ! Win situation !

I spent 7 days near Dartmoor this month and took this rod with me to test out on the River Avon, straight off the bat this really is a lovely bit of kit and I was amazed and also surprised by how sturdy it was, especially for such a light weight rod that collapses down to nothing.. This truly is a travel rod in that you could take it anywhere with you no hassle at all.Now obviously this isn't going to be up there with the likes of a 'Sage Foundation' rod or feel as good, however for the money and convenience you can't go wrong with one of these and I would highly recommend. Worth mentioning also that this comes in a fantastic and well made carry case that looks and feels like a premium product. I like also how this is designed in the UK, a shame it's made in China but that doesn't detract from the build quality at this price point thankfully.
