They sound decent in my Tacoma. I’m sure they will sound better with a new head unit and amp. What I didn’t realize before I got started was that I needed brackets to mount them to and then to the door.

Sounds great for the money! Probably would sound better with a amp but even running off the head unit they are loud and clear! Would buy again

2015 Tacoma Limited- use the Metra Toyota cables(also here in Amazon). I have the factory premium head unit. These are a great upgrade. Also added the DS18 tweeters. Did it all within one hour including removing and mounting panels again. Get the small white plastic clips to attach the rear new mirror cover plates in case you lose one of the clips. Also here in Amazon.

Great sounding Speakers. Just adding new speakers to my 2000 Honda Accord made a big difference but then I added A new stereo, and It made the biggest difference.

I replaced my door speakers in my f-250, and something was lacking.. rear speakers. I put these bad boys in the sides in the back of my extended cab, (cutting the metal, etc) and the sound! I have a sony stereo with decent wattage, and holy """" it sounds awesome, lows, highs, and everything in between crystal clear. crank it up!

I bought these for my 2022 WRX, without the HK audio. The speakers sound great even though I am running them off the stock head unit. They have great clarity in the highs and mids, however these do lack a deep bass sound. For $100 dollars this pair is amazing, and will be a perfect upgrade for most people. If you want to shake your car these are probably not the speakers for you, but if you're looking for a quality upgrade these are perfect. Now, the install difficulty will depend on your car, and your general skills. I found an amazing video on youtube for the install on my car and would recommend anyone else do the same. My install for the driver door and passenger door took about 45 minutes total. It can definitly be faster, but I took my time. For my car I needed to buy a few other things in order for these to fit without modifying my car. I had to buy a harness that connects to my car and connects to the spade connectors on the speakers. By doing this I didnt have to splice anything which is a plus for me on a new car. I also bought a mounting bracket that fits perfectly into my car and hold the speakers right where they need to be. If you are thinking about buying this I would reccommend that you do your research for the install on your car, but in terms of the speakers these are perfect.

The details are very clear and driver looks good, the only issue is the cable that comes with it is abit too thin which results in power reduction. Measured cable resistance is quite high, But overall I am very satisfy with this purchase.

The speakers I received do sound good, however I did not receive what I ordered. I ordered the Prime R169X3. The box even states it's the X3 model, however the speakers are the R169X2. The box and all packing were in perfect shape, too, so it didn't look like it had been opened and repacked.Unfortunately, I didn't realize the discrepancy until I had thrown the packing material away and I started to install the speakers, so I did not feel right sending it back to Amazon. Since these and the X3 have only a $10 price difference and there isn't that much of a difference in performance, I'll just live with it.I just wanted to put this out there for others.Installation was, well, it's a speaker. The only problem I had was that my printout of the cutout template wasn't to scale. So I had to create my own template. Not that big of a deal, though.

These speakers are pretty inexpensive from a famous brand and have good volume and decent, if a bit underwhelming compared to stock, sound quality. While these produce treble well, the bass doesn't kick as well as the stock speakers. It has plenty of mid bass (the constant underlying bass that vibrates the car when you turn the bass knob all the way up - I think I'm using that term correctly), but it fails to produce "punchy" bass. You have to crank up the bass knob which may get you a little punch, but it also adds that mid bass which tends to hurt your ears. I am not expecting subwoofer quality, but I am expecting it to match my OEM speakers, which it does not. I think the main reason is the speakers are underpowered by the stock head unit, but if that is the case they have the wrong marketing. They are marketed as "factory replacement speakers", but they require too much power to be labeled as that, because the OEM head unit in my vehicle does not have enough power to produce full bass from these speakers whereas it could with the factory speakers. A disappointment because I purchased these specifically for the reason of not needing to install an amp or more powerful head unit. I'm sure they would sound great otherwise, but until I replace the head unit, they are going to sound underwhelming. Also, the warranty is very short. 1 year does not inspire confidence.
