I own a few different nets for different purposes; some for kayak fishing, some for boat fishing, and some for duck hunting; This landing net is a nice mid-sized net, that seems about right for bass, pike, and similar fish. I like the rubberized net and detachable / telescopic handle for kayak fishing. The net basket is fairly large and deep. The handle is very sturdy in the short position but feels less sturdy in the extended position. The net basket almost feels over-sized for the handle because it could easily fit a large pike or small muskie but I don't think the handle would hold up well to that kind of weight or fight in the extended position, especially if it isn't used correctly when lifting a fish into the boat. Overall I think the proportions are a bit off on this product. The net is too large for the handle and the handle is too short for such a large net, and the handle doesn't seem strong enough for the large game fish that could fit in the basket. This would probably work out well for kayak fishing because you are so low to the water, you don't need much extension, and you really don't need to lift the net out of the water when landing a fish, but I wouldn't use it for boat / land based fishing. I will replace my current kayak fishing net with this one because I think it is well suited for that purpose, but I would not use it in any other situation. Overall, I would suggest that you consider your use case before purchasing a telescopic net because most people will need a sturdier handle more than they need the portability. Overall, I gave this product a 4 star rating because I feel that the quality is quite good and the product description was honest and is focused on portability, easy storage, etc. however I don't think the design is as robust as others and may bend if mis-used.

I have always fought with nets in my koi pond. They don't last long.. either the nets themselves deteriorate & rip or the cheap poles bend rendering the lot useless... no matter how much I spend. So far I am impressed withe quality of the rubber net. It does seem to be safe enough for my koi, especially the larger ones! I really like that I can fold this net up for storage. The adjustable pole works well too. It was on the pricey end of the spectrum, but I think this will hold up so much better in the long run. I do wish the holes were smaller for easier skimming & pick up of debris... even for my smaller fish.

This net breaks down easily and is compact so it’ll be easy to store in a boat or in a backpack. When the handle is extended the net feels very stable and I’m confident it could hold a large fish without breaking. The netting material is heavy duty rubber so it should hold up for a long time and should not hurt a fish during the netting process. The net size is ideal for lake fish, but too small for salmon or steelhead.

I was pleasantly surprised by the construction quality, user-friendly design, and overall sturdiness of the fishing net. The innovative notched pole design allows for smooth sliding in and out, while also preventing any unwanted twisting, ensuring the net locks in place more securely during use.One of my favorite features is the collapsible handle, which can be fully retracted and tucked away in reverse for extremely compact storage—a real space-saver in our garage. The rubberized netting is a fantastic addition as it provides a gentle touch on the fish, which is especially important for us since we practice catch-and-release in our large backyard pond.Furthermore, this net proves to be versatile in other scenarios, such as when we occasionally need to catch our free-range backyard chickens or peacocks. The soft mesh is much safer for those animals as well, reducing the risk of injury during the process.I also appreciate the springy lanyard with a sturdy carabiner; it ensures that the net stays securely attached to me, the boat, or the dock while I'm busy fishing. We’ve unfortunately lost a net to the pond before when a strong gust of wind blew it off the dock, but the clipping lanyard offers a fast and convenient way to prevent that from happening again. Given that we have some pretty large bass and catfish in the pond, I feel confident that this net is more than capable of handling their size and weight with ease. Overall, it’s an excellent addition to our fishing gear.

This telescoping fish net is well made, and the net takes the shape of a deep bucket like the larger salmon nets. The net material is rubber like so it is gentler for the fish and minimizes hook snag. A big plus is how this net can break down into a compact package which makes it easy to stow on a boat. The only negative is that the handle is difficult to lock into place (-1 star) so there may be some travel while landing a larger fish. The manufacturer could have avoided this problem by giving both handle locks a better grip design.Overall this net is a good addition to my fishing equipment, and I would still recommend it

My family owned a sporting goods store and I spent a lot of years fishing. A good net is a must. I was impressed with this Telescoping Aluminum Alloy Fishing Net from NestSprout. It actually has some cool features. For example, I liked that the handle can be easily removed and fits inside the net hoop for transport or stowing in a boat. The net overall is pretty lightweight. The telescoping feature is good as it can be a short or long net depending on needs. I also like the rubber netting. Its soft and gentle on fish for the ones that need to be released.I cant speak to lingevity, but it feels pretty premium. As a reviewer, I got the alrge net. It was a good size for Bass and similar sized fish. Its fairly deep as well. I trout fish a lot so its a little big for that, I'd suggest trying the nedium.Overall, 5 stars. I am confident it will give years of service.
