Just one look at the Rugged Ridge AmFib Snorkel System for Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT models and you know this is not your typical snorkel. We designed the Low Mount Snorkel to make a visual splash by devising a base that blends seamlessly with the factory cowl panel and then topped it off with a low air intake that instantly becomes the focal point that you can’t take your eyes off of. While making such a big splash is great, our quest for a superior snorkel went far beyond the visual. We engineered the entire AmFib snorkel inside the Jeep to literally make waves, by designing a system that is over-engineered to be less invasive, performs better and installs easier than any snorkel we’ve ever built before. The entire system and its components look “at-home”, as though they we’re part of the Jeeps original design. But where the rubber really meets the road is where the AmFib Snorkel truly shinesQuickly swap the low air intake for the High Mount Intake and you can defy water crossings with total confidence. Installation is straightforward I recommend putting some lubricants on the two hoses that connect the plastic parts it makes them easier to install and remove later if you have to get to the fuse box or remove the battery.Overall it seems to be a quality product fit and finish is good

Install took longer than expected, tight fit to close my hood, and a bit on the pricey side, otherwise, looks great, and happy with it.

Installed this kit months ago, and noticed last week that there was a significant gap in between the snorkel adapter, and the tube under the hood. I removed it, only to find it had “warped” somehow. I contacted the company, and they sent a brand new kit to me. I installed it, then drove the Jeep around for an hour only to find the brand new snorkel had warped exactly like the original! This kit needs some re-design work. My suggestion is that it needs a metal insert sleeve to reinforce the pictured part, so it does not warp. I’m not sure why this is happening, but I’ll attribute it to engine heat and poor materials used to construct this product.

clamp to hold sleeve on was not that tight, but cheap thin plastic and it distorted in my black jeep hot engine compartment, hot summer. And know ruggid ridge told me to bad amazon sold it to me and to go threw them amazon says to go to them, out allot of money, maybe i can get a heat gun and salvage the system,,, disgusted i even had to put one star ,

I read the directions prior to starting the install so I wouldn't have any surprises.I should have paid more attention to the parts. I am missing the plastic washer and water drain valve. So I capped the drain until I can get the valve. There are a couple of steps that are unclear and I didn't have to do so I wasn't sure why they had them.I didn't need to remove the intake hose kiss loosen the air box clamp. They do tell you to reuse factory grommet for the adapter but it was I possibly tight so I use the grommet supplied. I will open the hole slightly in order to reuse the shouldered wash later.I was careful to place the 5" hose clamps away from any possible hood damage but the hood Insulation does take a bit of crushing (you can hear it the 1st time I shut the hood).I finished after dark so I'll check fitment in the sunlight but does appear that the high mountain cap is not a tight fit to the snorkel to body box. They do supply a gasket for both the block off and the snorkel to high mount adapter. These are poor fitting and could be better, I played with them for a while and decided to just trip them after installing everything.I read others had issues with tubing collapse after engine heat and also that company fixed it by adding a stiffened plate. It's in a separate bag without a location in the instructions so I guessed and put it on the air filter side.Overall I'm happy and any issues I'll chalk up to it being a cheaper alternative to cutting a huge hole for the other brands.

Terrible quality. Installed in a brand new jt rubicon. The parts are all cheap molded plastic. The seals included with the snorkel box do not fill the gaps between fittings correctly leaving more than enough space for water or dirt to get into the box. The foam seal between the snorkel elbow and the jeep airbox was larger than the airbox part and simply slid over the parts, instead of between them to seal the connection. The long plastic piece going between the air box and the snorkel has rubber couplers, one of which caused one end of plastic piece to collapse due to its cheap plastic, and now it just slides off. This whole thing is a shit show, and i would pony up more money and have a good through hood one professionally installed as opposed to taking the cheap plastic shortcut again.

Looks beautiful, no panel needs to be cut and on all installation videos it looked so easy to put in.However, the Rugged Ridge Snorkel part which replaces original Jeep panel, did not fit at all and stood 1.5 cm out. Some metal panel on my Jeep was very much in the way. The only option was to trim the Rugged Ridge Snorkel part until it fitted perfectly but it had a 3x3 cm hole in the plastic structure. This is rather suboptimal for a snorkel and required boat mechanic skills to close the hole and make water tight. Did some water crossing, so far so good. The provided instructions could also be improved. I am not sure if the metal frame of a 2020 Wrangler left to right-hand-drive is slightly different but this would be my only explanation. Meaning the Rugged Ridge snorkel only fits on left-hand-driving Jeeps.
