A fair variety of motifs, including many with a nativity theme which I will use, and lots of angels. There is also a set of large decorated letters, each one 50 by 51 stitches. The whole alphabet is included. Nice for sending a personalised card. Clear coloured charts with key in DMC only. There is a useful index. Only problem is that there are not that many photos of finished work. Still well worth buying.

I love the book.I have use it to make stockings for the family.It's easy to use,anyone can do it.I change the colors because I like to use alot of reds and greens.I designs are just so beautiful.I love it.

J'ai acheté se livre dans le but de préparer les décorations et cartes de voeux pour Noël. Si je l'ai déjà étudié dans le détail, je n'ai pas encore eu l'occasion d'en broder l'un des motifs. Et je ne peux que vous dire que j'ai été très agréablement surprise par les grilles présentées. La plupart sont de petite taille et on y trouve de tout : du complexe et du très facile qui sied aux débutants, aussi bien des motifs pieux comme La Vierge et l'Enfant ou la crèche que des dessins issus du folklore avec rennes et Père-Noël. On distingue en général très bien les couleurs et on peut facilement les adapter. Un excellent investissement qui servira de nombreuses années.

This book arrived today and it seems to be a great resource for your library. The only drawback is that there is only one page and the front cover to show how each design will work up. They are festive and there is a wide variety. Also, each page is presented in color chart as well as DMC color floss codes for the page. There is a small introduction to cross stitching.

I bought this book because I needed a book of Christmas design, and I thought it would be perfect companion book to go with Sam Hawkins' "501 Cross Stitch Designs," a book that I love. And while this book has a lot of good designs, the patterns are done in color, not black & white symbols, which makes it harder to copy and enlarge for stitch work--I'm one of those who use a copy and a highlighter to mark off what I've done. I also wish that the book were divided into sections for easy reference.
