Exactly what we needed for restoring some old sash windows. This is the larger of the two standard sizes available and seems to fit better in most of the old pulleys. Should last another 100 years.

Very good quality rope.

I restore antique sash windows. My clients expect the best. This rope looks, feels, and functions just like the original sash rope, but the poly core keeps it flexible.

Used this to re-string 3 of my 1925 double hung windows. As described. Tight limited stretch. Correct to size as described. Diameter also as described.Installed about 6 months ago so cannot comment on extended (years) performance. So far so good. This is a stiff rope perfect to tie into counterweight system.

Rope cannot be sewn through easily. I purchased this to make a rope rug with and have broken several needles.

I use this rope to make coiled rope baskets, a use for which the stretchiness or lack thereof is not important, so I cannot comment on that. I like the sturdiness of this rope, it's nice and thick and pretty easy to push a darning needle through.I do wish that someone still made full cotton rope without a poly core. I dyed this cord for one of my baskets and the cotton shrunk while the poly core did not, leading to some odd puckering and places where the poly poked through the cotton outer layer. I would recommend against soaking this rope as a result, or if you must, use cool water to minimize how much the cotton shrinks.

We purchased these to replace the rope on our sun sails, these worked perfectly. In the mountains we have really high UV exposure from the sun that degrades rope, we're almost through a summer with this replacement line without the degradation that the previous rope encountered.Only downside is where we cut the line it has been hard to prevent stray strands, the old match trick didn't seem to bind it as well as the old line, but I'll take frays and more years of service.

The rope is fine - good for rehanging sash weights (like another reviewer noted, it does have more give than what might have been original on your windows) or for clothesline. I should probably blame myself for not noticing the "Koch" brand before ordering, I wouldn't have purchased it if I had. (I find the political leanings of The Koch Brothers vile and abhorrent and I'm angry at myself for even adding $.01 to their pockets)
