There are lots of uses for painters tape, although I know the primary one is of course for painting. However, I didn't get this to use for paint. I got this for baby shower decorations because I needed something I knew would hold up some very light, paper products, and would not damage the walls. This was a perfect solution for that. The adhesive is surprisingly strong while coming off surfaces very easily. It's pricier than the average painters tape, but it's much higher quality and adhesive, so if your project really requires that level, it's worth the splurge!

As always scotch's blue painter's tape comes through. Though while this one is great for clean paint lines, it's not as versatile for other uses due to the printing all over it to indicate how "pro" it is. Still, it's a quality painter's tape, and this 1.5 inch width size allows for better protection/more customizable paint lines if you're handy with scissors or a box cutter.

Scotch Blue is a painter's tape that I have used many times over the years. The painter's tape can be easily cut to the size that you need. This is the 1.5" width role. The tape adheres well and is easy to remove once your paint has dried.

I've used regular painter's tape before from the same company and had a good experience with it. This tape was no different in quality. I noticed maybe a little better bleed protection than the normal blue painter's tape. It does feel like the adhesive is slightly stronger than normal blue painter's tape and that is where in lies the slightly crisper lines. I do wonder if the stronger adhesion could potentially peel up paint below it, especially if the underlayer is freshly painted and you're doing another layer on top but I had no issue with it doing so. It still peeled off easily despite the stronger glue.I would recommend this be used when you're doing design work in your painting. Say you're doing a detailed striped pattern or cross hashing or anything that is in the middle of the wall rather than just protecting the corners and the point where the wall meets the ceiling and your baseboards and don't forget the electrical outlets! Because you get such a clean line with this, and it is a little pricier than the normal blue painter's tape, I would get it for special use cases like that.I will say, I do wish they didn't have the writing all over the tape, we've been moving and have been using blue painter's tape to seal boxes and then label them on the side but you can't see the writing as clearly with the words underneath. I could also see this as a problem if you're using the tape to use as markers for measurements and you're writing on it. But that's my own personal use case complaint and not a real fault of the product.Overall, it's easy to use and gets the job done and would really shine for a good painting art project on the wall, can't go wrong with this brand!

This is my go-to when I'm painting—sticks well, pulls clean, and leaves a sharp edge without bleeding. The Edge-Lock tech does its job. No complaints there. Just be aware this version has black writing all over it, so it's not great if you want to use it for labeling or general workshop stuff. It’s solid painter’s tape, just not as versatile as the classic blue.
