The band that runs around your head is 4 inches wide at the forehead, and tapers down to 2.5 inches at the back of the head. Handmade and sewn with love in the USA by us. All our hats are already made, and ready to be shipped out to you. All seams are serged, for a clean, professional look. 100% Cotton First Quality Fabric. Material quality- a surgeon has no time to hand wash and iron item! Disappointed in product care. This was going to be a gift for my surgeon that does cancer reconstruction and plastic surgery. Yup - you can guess what school he went too. Go Blue!
