Cheaply designed physically and technically. I initially installed this across my double garage door. I have a typical IP beam for the opener, then installed this at least a foot above. It indicated the beam was secure, but only breaking a middle beam seemed to matter. It turned out the garage door sensor was jamming almost all the sensors so it didn't matter if the beam was blocked or not. So much for high security and different frequency beams. So I reversed the locations of the garage door sensor, and it fixed the problem. When the beam is broken, the relay clicks on and off annoyingly. Keep that in mind if you are going to use this where the beam is broken for a period of time. I was going to use it with a wireless transmitter, but the constant relay going on and off when the beam is blocked will send a constant stream of transmissions.Physically the ends of the sensor are cheap plastic, and the tamper sensor is held with a tiny screw pressing on a plastic part. Not very durable.Basically this sensor is too cheaply made to be used with anything requiring reliable operation. Only use it to trigger non-critical things like beepers or a light.
