The mounting boards in this set of 4 are sturdy although I will admit that the protective sheet over the sticky side is a bit difficult to deal. However, that's a plus rather than a minus since you want the adhesive to be clean when applying your cross stitch project to it. I'm using three of the boards for 3 11 x 14 cross stitch designs and will cut the 4th board for 2 smaller projects.

Review of Self Stick Mounting Board 11 X 14 inch, for Cross Stitch, Photo Frame Backing (4 Pack)I plan to use this for dry mounting watercolor painting, or painting done on cardboard treated with resin, as they are great for painting on, but need to be mounted to frame. Price seems okay for what they are. They would probably work well for photos and cross stitch. I am glad they are acid free, makes them good for mounting paintings and drawings.

These boards are not easy to remove the protective paper to access the sticky. Find a different brand

I got this for mounting cross stitch pictures so I could frame them. I have had to cut it down for some of the pictures because not all of them were that size, but I was able to do that using an exacto knife with no problem. This fits in the back of most frames if you take out the glass. Be sure to center your picture and mark it on the back before you take the protective sheet off and expose the sticky part because it sticks hard. I always have issues getting my pictures centered in the frame and usually have to rearrange them a couple of times, so that part was hard. It says it's acid free so it shouldn't discolor my fabrics at all.

These boards are great to frame needlework projects. They have the perfect amount of stickiness to hold your project tightly and securely. Once you place your project to your satisfaction, you can pop the whole thing in a frame and call it a day. I used 2 of the boards right away to frame a couple of embroidered projects I'd been wanting to frame for about 6 months. This is a great price for 4 boards as I can recall paying $8 for 1 board last year at my local needlework shop.

This is a sturdy and reliable board material for mounting various craft projects for framing and display. It's simple and straightforward to use and the results really speak for themselves. It's a great way to protect and preserve paper or other materials that need reinforcement for display. The finished work looks professionally done. Nice thick boards. I did notice that while trying to get the protective covering off I did end up peeling the corner apart on the opposite side of the sticky paper. The paper covering the sticky was a little hard to find and get off. The sticky side holds aida cloth nicely. I was able to peel my project back up to reposition it easily and it still was sticky. The boards are a little hard to cut but I was able to use my craft knife. I did like they were package with corner protectors. I will be buying more for my cross stitch projects.
