Very disappointed. Replacing my shingle roof tomorrow. Have a Metalbestos 8" double wall chimney system 24 years old. This was before Metalbestos was purchased by Selkirk. Purchased new Selkirk Metalbestos 8T-AF6 stainless steel adjustible flashing, 8 inch. Too small for my 8" Metalbestos system. No where on Amazon's nor on Selkirk's website does it state that it would not fit. $114.79 down the drain.

Item IS aluminum and NOT stainless as described. Selkirk products are well made but poorly packaged. This flashing is shipped with no factory protection around the entire perimeter of the base. Fairly easy to bend back flat if dented if you don't mind the wrinkled look. This seems to be a Selkirk pattern, chimney pipes are horribly packaged and many reviewers note damaged items. Seller was good about taking damaged item back but this was a hassle that a few pieces of stiff cardboard taped to the perimeter could easily prevent.

This thing i so huge I cannot imagine it being used for anything.... certainly not 8 inches... would have easily accommodated a 12" pipe

Just as described. Used with Selkirk 8" insulated chimney pipe, which has approx. 10.25" outside diameter.
