When my son was born I looked at my life and thought about what I wanted most for him. I decided that it was for him to enjoy his life. That forced me to take a look at my own life. How could I teach my child to enjoy his life when I had failed to enjoy my own? I decided that I couldn't. When I was younger I had many jobs but there were things that had been life long loves; these were building things, fitness, martial arts, and grappling. With the support of my loving wife I decided to go all in and combine these things into a business. I decided to name this business The Pain Factory. I envisioned a place where it was okay to be broken. A place where people could come and shed the stress of their daily lives and be rebuilt. The tools we would use would be the things that had been my life long passions. Part of what we do is build our own equipment. It has been six years now and the equipment that we build has become an enjoyable part of my and my son's life. There are still struggles but every night I go to bed looking forward to the next day.

The original size wouldn't allow me to add enough weight to my dumbbells, the tightening screw stuck out too much and ended up hitting my legs or sides during strict movement exercises. I used a chopsaw to cut to size and filed sharp edges down- then I removed the bolt they had and got a 7/16" coarse thread 1/2inch bolt. I use a small wrench to lock it down. Now I can get 58 pounds ( handles are 8) on each dumbbell and use it for bicep curls and tricep rows without bruising myself up.

The part that impresses me the most is the offset of the knob. It makes clamping down of the collar a breeze. The collars are by far durable enough to handle the weight I use. I use them for axle bar and farmers carry handles mostly.

Finally, Collars that fit all my different Olympic bars! I have a fat bar and a Gerrard bar for which I could never find collars that worked. These collars fit both those bars as well as three other Olympic bars. These collars are so well made by a craftsman who takes pride in his work!

These clamps (made precisely for these bars) are easy to put on and off. Such a great addition to my home gym!! They will never wear out!!

Just like every other purchase I have made from Gorilla Strength, these collars are extremely well made. This type of collar is ideal for specialty bars that may have a slightly smaller diameter than a typical olympic bar. These collars are easy to put on/take off and stay very tight to the bar. Yes, they may leave small screw marks on the bar...but I don't care. I value functionality way more than appearance. Thanks for another solid product!!

Great collars! I been using 5 days a weeks for two months and they are still just a sturdy and thread in just as if they were new. The most Ive had on each side of the dumbell was 30 lbs ( 3 10lb plates on each side ) and they held perfect . I'm sure I could put a lot more o and they would hold

As with all of Mr. Dennis' products, these collars are well crafted and super strong. The T-handle design consists of a solid piece of rod welded to a bolt, and fits my handle well.
