I am repurposing these thermistors for my Arduino for various experiments / projects. They have worked out very well for me. The thermistors themselves are encapsulated in a plastic material and have wires leads about 10' long. They appear to be sealed well enough to survive the outdoor weather - one of my applications. Time will tell.
