Definitely prefer these to wire wrapped products, which stretched to cover the sole of the shoe/boot. This design does not wear away rubber on the sole and provides excellent grip. Furthermore, I like the fact that I can easily walk on the tiled and carpeted floors inside on my way out.

These are not cleats, these are chains that work very well when you don’t need the sharp cleats for such drastic traction! These stop you from slipping on ice and still able to walk on regular ground while getting to your vehicle and you can leave them on to drive also without damaging your foot pedals! I use them when I’m driving my jeep with a plow on it to clear roads and property and can still get out and adjust plow settings when needed without having to remove and or reinstall them on my boots! I would purchase them again in a heartbeat! They install easily and are comfortable to walk on even when not on snow or ice! Buy them you won’t be disappointed!

I really wanted to like these. They worked well, were light weight, but did not last very long.Only got a week or two before both of them broke.

I purchased this item last winter and never used them because my Yaktrax were able to make it through the season. I used these one time on the same trails I use my other cleats and they broke halfway through my hike. It was mostly snow, and not much ice or rock.

I put them through quite a treck this winter (2-4 hikes a month). Absolutely wrecked on my last hike, the front chains ripped out of the holes holding them and the chains themselves broke. Saved me on many an occasion but not built for regular use.

I liked the idea that the cleats were not too agressive in case you had to wear into a building. However mine broke the chains in short order. Not grippy enough for slick icy sloping terrain. Good for not severe conditions.
