Fantastic shadowbox however the pins don’t hold much weight and when I tried to put the plastic part back down it broke a bit.

I broke the shadow box from my childhood, and needed a replacement. This one is great. I like that it opens with a latch.

This is a good shadow box. We used it to put together a memorial for our dog. It fits several photos, her leash and other things.

It works perfectly for my graduation items! I've had a shadow box in mind for a couple of years since I graduated, and since then, my stuff has just been sitting in a box. I love having it on display in this beautiful shadow box! I didn't even know it came with hangers, but it did, which was a nice touch. The frame is sturdy and well built, and I love the beautiful gold locks.

The quality on this shadow box is really high. There were no defects in the wood. The door fit perfectly. There are no alignment issues. Lock functions perfectly. The weak point on this shadowbox is the hinges which are weak. I would just say don't try to carry the box open with the door swinging. They are fine if all you are going to do is open it carefully on a table to insert your items and close it to hang it up. The other minor issue is that the box is packed with a block of styrofoam that completely fills the box. Sandwiched between the foam block and the cloth foam backer is a bag full of push pins, screws and anchors. Those dented both the foam block and the cloth foam backer. You can see it in the picture with the circle. Unfortunately, the foam on the backer is not rebounding so it is permanently dented. The backer is glued into the back of the box. I may pull it out to replace the foam backer inside the cloth to get a flat surface again. This is how they pack them so I would expect to see the same dents on your foam backer.
