Product Description

3" Trim and Touch Up Roller Kit, provides smooth coverage for narrow areas. Can be used all paints and stains.

From the Manufacturer

Shur-Line invented the first paint roller with a removable cover in 1945 and our-years of experience have paved the way for do-it-yourselfers and professional painters to achieve flawless paint application. Shur-Line's patented technologies continue to set the standard for quality paint rollers. Shur-Line invented the advanced technology of our thermo-bond process in which the roller cover fabric is thermally fused to the core. This eliminates adhesive failure associated with traditional cardboard and pvc plastic cores. Thermo-bond cores are tough and impervious to paint solvents and water. This results in roller covers that are virtually indestructible and roll smoothly every time. Shur-Line's proprietary fabrics use the proper fiber crimping for optimum painting performance. Knit fabric rollers can be used for the majority of jobs and rollers made with woven fabrics provide the smoothest finish for specialized applications. All Shur-Line rollers undergo an advanced finishing process that results in low linting and leaves a uniform paint finish. This exciting innovation provides smoother coverage, faster clean up, paint sticking to the wall and not to the roller.

My favorite all-time roller and nap for smooth surfaces. It’s a horrible shame that I can’t find one in my local stores.

This is the second time I’ve ordered this kit; after four years, I was ready to get a fresh set. I love this small but mighty roller. Paint glides on smoothly and easily with perfect coverage, whether I’m using high end or cheaper paint. Because my hand is small, and I have a touch of arthritis, it’s often easier for me to work with this lightweight roller and roller pan than larger brushes. Sometimes I prefer it even on larger surfaces where most folks would use a 3-4” brush.

Applied paint but it just slid on the surface - it didn't 'roll'

This is the roller you want for window painting and wall murals... I feel like people want to use these for trim, and don’t like them for that reason, it’s definitely an artist’s tool.

Good little purchase. Guess I wasn't expecting it to be so tiny, but probably should have read the fine print. Did a jolly good job.

We used it to paint the back and side of 2 fish tanks. It worked perfectly, easy to use and did a great job

This Shur-Line Trim and Touch up Roller and tray is perfect for small touch-up jobs. I toss the tray and roller when done so clean-up is a breeze. I don't dread the small stuff now and keep several of these trim and touch-up rollers and trays on hand at all times. If only it came with a few trays instead of just one!

I wanted to like this, it was recommended on a blog about painting trim, as step to go at the end of a wet coat with a brush and smooth out the brush strokes. As it happened for me, this just wound up lifting the paint that I'd just laid about 1 out of ever 4 times I tried to do that. The problem there is, once it lifts some of the paint back off the trim, that bare hole that it left doesn't fill back in as nicely and it's hard to get an even coat after that. I also wasn't a great fan of the handle, it was kind of flimsy for my use (I do have fairly large hands so this may have been part of my discomfort, this is a very small tool.) It may be good if you need something disposable for a very small job, but for my purposes, it just wasn't as good as I needed it to be. (For what it's worth, I just went to brushing on my paint only, and it smoothed out with the grain just fine, this step wasn't even necessary for me.

This product worked great. I used it to paint the window sill, edges around my outlets, and around the base boards. I also used it to smooth out brush stroke lines. The roller pads don't last that long so I would recommend buying a couple extra. I painted only 3 walls in a small room and the nap was pretty much destroyed. I think for the next time I paint I will go with a sturdier product that is not made out of plastic. This was my first time painting though and for what its worth it worked great.

Use these for small touch up and small area paint jobs. They are very good, disposable, minimal mess, fast and easy. I have used them repeatedly and glad to have discovered them.
