I bought these during a period of recuperation from surgery and it was the best money I spent. I had hours of enjoyment and learning. And now I have the finished products to enjoy even more -- making pillows, framing, etc. I loved it so much, I purchased additional kits with a different theme. You could probably work on these with a young person/teen and supervise minimally to help with some of the more difficult stitches. All-in-all, very fun, easy and pretty!

These are so fun and pretty. The quality of the fabric and thread is good and I can’t get over how beautiful the colors are. The instructions are clear, too.

this is an amazing set and comes with literally everything you need! its all good quality too! i would love to be someone who enjoys embroidery, but i dont have the patience and i applaud those who do! this will make a good gift for my sister though!

I'm new to embroidery, so I wanted something to practice on. This comes with one hoop, and the scissors are not great, but has all the thread you need and the patters are relatively easy enough to follow. I like that I get to practice a lot of different stitch patterns, and it's fully filling the hoop.

I've just begun using one of the patterns and it's already rubbing off. There is no way I'll be able to finish this because every time I handle it, more of the pattern rubs off. Cheaply done. Very unhappy with the quality of the pattern

I really don't know just how much for beginners this kit it. I had a heck of a time with it to be honest, but once I got the hang of it it wasn't bad. I think that it would probably be easier if I had practiced some basic stiches before hand. This is a great set for someone just starting out but would do well if they know just a bit of what they are doing.
