Helps with preventing browning on bottom of sourdough in my cast iron pot. Extra tip is to put raw rice on the bottom while pre heating before putting this in with the dough and works even better! Have used 20-30x with no issues

I've only use them twice, but so far I'm very happy with them. I put them in a 500 degree F preheated Dutch oven and they held up just fine in the heat. I turn down the heat to 450 degree F once I add the sourdough.

The mats are good for lifting the bread dough into the dutch oven, but then the handles have to fold over the top of the bread dough. So when it is time to remove the dutch oven lid, the browning on the dough is uneven where the handles rested. I will try using the mat again, and see if I can get the mat out of the pan for the final browning time. But overall, I have better luck with parchment paper.
