Over 100 Years of Quality
SKS is a quality manufacturer in the bicycle industry, we have been keeping bikes rolling for over 100 years.
Our history began in 1921 when Karl Scheffer-Klute of Sundern, Germany began manufacturing curtain rods. His company was purchased in 1932 by Wilhelm Blome, who also purchased a tire inflator company, which inspired him to begin manufacturing metal pumps.
SKS is now known as a pump and bicycle fender manufacturer, along with accessories for your bike, including bike pumps, fenders, bags, tools, digital pressure gauges, bottle cages, cage adapters, and even phone holders.
SKS items are still designed and manufactured in Sundern, Germany. We will continue to innovate and manufacture the highest quality cycling accessories for years to come.
The Future is Orange
SKS Germany employs 400 people at our bicycle HQ in Sundern, and over 700 employees across our three combined divisions.
43% of our bicycle business is through aftermarket product sales while 32% is OEM product.
Annually, SKS Germany produces:
- 4.5 million full fenders
- 2 million clip-on fenders
- 1.2 million bicycle pumps
This totals over 18,000 fenders per day and 3,200 pumps per day!
Revamping the classics
In 2022 the SKS full fender line was renewed. The classic Chromoplastic Longboard and Commuter II full fenders were replaced with the new Bluemels and Bluemels Style fenders.
Both models are made using the same chromoplastic fender material. But, the Bluemels now come with black hardware and are available in more sizes than before.
The Bluemels Style fenders feature a square profile design, double U Stay technology, a matte black finish, and come with a sleek, flexible spoiler on the front and rear fender.
SKS Germany continues to be a leader in clip-on fender options as well.

a good piece of emergency equipment. There is no way to tell exactly how much you're pumping your tire up and it's probably going to take you about 10-15 minutes to get to roughly 30-40 PSI. You are going to feel it. Easy to use and honestly I can't find a better value for emergency equipment. It's lightweight and fits on your bike. Nice and sleek.

I bought this pump for my gravel bike and attached it to my bottle cage with the provided bracket. On my third ride the internals of the pump fell out probably due to vibration and the seller tells me I can’t buy the internal bit separately.

Habe die Pumpe am Rennrad bereits einmal gebraucht. Es macht Sinn das zuhause auszuprobieren. Ich habe festgestellt, dass ich mit meinem 28mm Reifen ca. 100 Pumpstöße brauche, um einen Luftdruck zu erreichen, der mich sicher nach Hause bringt (auch bei fast 60km/h zwischendurch). Man kann ab ca. 70 Pumpstößen nicht mehr mit dem Finger prüfen, ob es reicht. Also: Zählen! CO2 geht sicher leichter und schneller. Aber eben nur einmal. Oder ich nehme 2-3 Kartuschen mit. Die Pumpe funktioniert immer.Für die extrem seltenen Fälle (einmal auf 7.500km) reicht das aus. Wechsel des Schlauchs dauerte insgesamt 15min inkl. Pumpen.

There is no means to lock pump onto valve, you will need strong hands and hope the valve does not push below the rim because you will be walking home if it does.

Excellent Pump, Fat, Fast and Small. Attaches adjacent to water bottle very solidly. Well made very light weight German Pump smooth confident action from the double chamber and seals not cheaply as the price would suggest. Works and attaches well for both Schrader and Presta. I'm certain this Pump works over its rated 73 PSI ... This Pump could fetch $30 easily at REI and it disappears mounted to the bike or place in a seat bag. I returned my $27 Pump and kept this one...
