SKS is a quality manufacturer in the bicycle industry, we have been keeping bikes rolling for over 100 years.
Our history began in 1921 when Karl Scheffer-Klute of Sundern, Germany began manufacturing curtain rods. His company was purchased in 1932 by Wilhelm Blome, who also purchased a tire inflator company, which inspired him to begin manufacturing metal pumps.
SKS is now known as a pump and bicycle fender manufacturer, along with accessories for your bike, including bike pumps, fenders, bags, tools, digital pressure gauges, bottle cages, cage adapters, and even phone holders.
SKS items are still designed and manufactured in Sundern, Germany. We will continue to innovate and manufacture the highest quality cycling accessories for years to come.
The Future is Orange
SKS Germany employs 400 people at our bicycle HQ in Sundern, and over 700 employees across our three combined divisions.
43% of our bicycle business is through aftermarket product sales while 32% is OEM product.
Annually, SKS Germany produces:
- 4.5 million full fenders
- 2 million clip-on fenders
- 1.2 million bicycle pumps
This totals over 18,000 fenders per day and 3,200 pumps per day!
Revamping the classics
In 2022 the SKS full fender line was renewed. The classic Chromoplastic Longboard and Commuter II full fenders were replaced with the new Bluemels and Bluemels Style fenders.
Both models are made using the same chromoplastic fender material. But, the Bluemels now come with black hardware and are available in more sizes than before.
The Bluemels Style fenders feature a square profile design, double U Stay technology, a matte black finish, and come with a sleek, flexible spoiler on the front and rear fender.
SKS Germany continues to be a leader in clip-on fender options as well.

Needed a replacement hose for my old Rencompressor with the brass valve head. New hose fits perfectly, however the new valve adapter is a piece of shabby engineering. Maybe fine for Schreader valves but it sucks big time with Presta. Ended up cutting off the valve adapter and replaced it with the old brass head.

Acheté pour remplacer l'ancien tuyau qui avait 20 ans (je n'aurais pu acheté que les joints)S'adapte parfaitement sur le cors de pompe.Le levier de verrouillage est effectivement assez difficile à manœuvrer d'origine, il suffit de desserrer un peu l'écrou moleté qui contraint le joint pour que le levier soit plus aisé à replier. Mettre une pointe de graisse silicone sur l'excentrique du levier pour diminuer le frottement avec le "piston"Rendez-vous dans 20 ans

Product came quickly and was exactly as described. Although not explicitly sold as fitting a Zefal Husky pump, online chatter indicated Zefal pumps (at least of that era) where really relabeled SKS pumps. I figured if the pump end fitting of the hose didn't work, I could cut it off and clamp it to the barb from the old (original) hose. But it fit fine. Just cleaned the pump base threads a bit and applied a little lubricant to the brass hose fitting.

Bought this knowing I would be cutting the end off and clamping to a barb. Unfortunately I cut the line before realizing that the thumb latch didn’t work. There’s a significant interference between the latch and the inner diameter of the cylinder rides in. There’s supposed to be an interference between the cam on the latch and valve wedge feature (right corner by my thumb) but the (top corner) keeps you from rotating the latch at all. I took it apart and reworked it but it’s definitely a quality control fail.

Well, the hose is anyway. The Zefal Husky pump (made by SKS as the Rennecompressor) is one of the most durable tools ever made. My old hose was wearing out and getting shorter every year (pic with the hose clamp). The replacement hose is super high quality. It screws right in. It is really long and has a built in clip to keep the head tight when run over the handle. Not having that feature is how my old one got damaged. WeThe thumb lock would not close at all when I got it. I disassembled the head (very easy) and put it back together. It works fine now. Something must have not been lined up correctly. Locks up on Schrader or Presta adapter now. Very sturdy chain on Schrader head. My old one had snapped. If I can clean my gauge up on the inside it would be close to new pump.Ready for another 30 years of filling up bike tires. I will try to outlast it.

I have a Zefal Husky that I bought at least 20 years ago. The rubber piece in the head lost its grip on the Schrader valve converter, and the hose would pop off during air up. So annoying. I could not find that piece, so I just bought the whole hose. Went on like a charm, works fine. The seller says that it will fit the Huskys made by TKS. How should I know who made it? I gambled and won. Like any product, it probably has its idiosyncrasies. I still have not figured out how to use it with a Presta valve. My only other experience has been with gas station pumps, which I greatly prefer for their speed.

First off, it probably won't fit your old pump. But the hose and fixtures are very high quality, so I decided to give it a shot. Sure enough, didn't fit (metric 8mm, fine pitch and my old Schwinn pump was more like 11mm, different thread pitch). But I still had the old pump, complete with the tapered tube attachment fixture for the base of the pump, so I bought a 5/6" worm gear clamp at Home Depot, sliced the end off the new one, attached the new hose to the old fixture, and 2 minutes later: new pump! The reason I did this is they just don't make solid pumps like my old schwinn any more: All metal aluminum and cast iron construction, pressure gage. The only thing that failed were the rubber parts in the head and the hose.This new hose and head are great. Durable metal construction, and a separate Presta valve attachment instead of the cheesy plastic combo head that never seems to last or work. Great buy. Do it. Keep that old durable pump body, upgrade the hose, and you'll be happy for another 20 years!!

was going to chuck the pump out after the hose perished but discoverd it was a very good german make so decided to see if i could get a new hose. this one did the trick and hopefully will get another 25 years out of it!

I thought that the universal adapter would be a problem on a Presta valve like described in a previous review, but if you put the valve in the 3:00 or 9:00 position, loop the chain over the spoke above and press the head all the way on the valve, (it slides on further than you would think) and it works like a charm, even to 115 psi for my road bike tires. The head removes easily by sliding straight off, and I believe will be less likely to break off a long valve stem since I don't have to wrestle with the unlocking lever that was on my original pump. I also got the rebuild gasket for the pump, lubed it up with some silicone grease also from Amazon, and the pump works great.

Hose replacement for my 21+ year old Zefal Husky pump. The hose is 125cm, which is longer than the original hose, but I consider the extra length worthwhile. The head and hose replacement are made in Germany and appear to be well made. The Presta valve fits over the valve whereas the Schrader valve must be clamped down and this is where the problem lies. The force required to move the lever is excessive and it simply doesn't make a good connection resulting in air loss.

Sehr gute und stabile Ausführung. Passt in die handelsüblichen Druckluftpistolen Reifenfüller. Nur ist keine Dichtung dabei aber ist genau gearbeitet und nicht nötig. Ganz gut ist das Drehgelenk!

The presta valve adapter leaks air while pumping 100lbs into a road bike tire starting at about 80lbs. This creates extra work to raise the tire pressure while air leaks. I gave the pump this was on to my kids so they cold fill their play ground ball to 9lbs.
