Deinonychus was a genus of carnivorous dromaeosaurid dinosaur. There is one described species, Deinonychus antirrhopus. This 3.4 meter (11 ft) long dinosaur lived during the early Cretaceous Period, about 115-108 million years ago (from the mid-Aptian to early Albian stages). Fossils have been recovered from the U. S. states of Montana, Wyoming, and Oklahoma, in rocks of the Cloverly Formation and Antlers Formation, though teeth that may belong to Deinonychus have been found much farther east in Maryland.Specifications:

Looks amazing! Bought as a birthday gift for my 5 year old paleontologist and he loves it! We are going to wire wrap it and make it into a necklace (It's a tad large for a necklace, but he does not care). It is a cool piece!

Absolutely love this piece. I do wish these claws had the size listed in the description, and I knocked off one star for that. Otherwise, this is a perfect gift for any dinosaur lover. And for those that are here looking for a Jurassic Park replica claw, get this one. This is really close to the size Dr Grant had when scaring the kid at the beginning. And the detail is glorious.

My son loves it. I wish it had a little more weight to it. Feels like it could break because it is so light, but is probably much tougher than it feels.

The detail put into these pieces is incredible, each is hand painted and sports an incredible amount of lifelike ingenuity. Unfortunately, two out of three that I've bought have come with pieces clearly hastily glued together, and smoothed off to look more real, but they end up looking more like toys in the end.

I have several claws from their lineup, and the realism is staggering. I use them as props in a larp role playing game, and get a lot of compliments on them.
