Understandably, if you purchase an inexpensive case, you may receive low quality. Unlike the picture, the velcro strap used to secure the violin was not covered with the fabric as pictured (could be a one off mistake). This causes quite a bit of noise when removing unless you place your hand on the strings to quiet them.The fabric panels have raw edges, and look cheap. This does not affect it functionally. More than anything, it might be nice to know as the pictures don’t portray this clearly.The piece used to cover the violin does not cover the whole violin, and has little to no padding where as the following mentioned model does cover the violin, and have more padding.If a step up in finished quality is important to you, I’d recommend spending the extra $10 for the other Sky brand case headlined as“SKY 4/4 Full Size Acoustic Violin Oblong Case Lightweight with Hygrometer Black/Green”.As of 5/15/23, there are also blue and red interior options for the 4/4 size. I have this case for my other violin, and it lacks all of the previously mentioned concerns.

Although the case was not the equivalent of a hard-shell case it does offer good protection at a reasonable price. As long as a gorilla is not standing on it or it is not run over buy a car or two, your instrument should be safe.

Nice, sturdy, attractive case with sufficient storage for the violin's accessories. Great value. I just wish the shoulder strap was longer.
