Ich habe auch das SMALLRIG Action 5 Pro Action 4 Action 3 Cag aus Aluminium. Und man merkt geringere das Gewicht. Alle Verschlüsse sind zu erreichen. Trotzdem ist ein sehr guten Schutz der Kamera vorhanden. Auch der Blitzschuh kann nützlich z.B. Mikrophone, Licht sein. Preis ist ok. Ich denke ich werde in Zukunft dieses Case aus Kunststoff nehmen, da es auf dem Stick leichter zu hanlden ist.

Nice minimal case for the Action 5. It fits well and is easy to nstall. Gives the camera some protection around the edges. It also gives you a way to mount it vertically. It is as described so 4 stars.

I use Smallrig cages for my big cameras and never really thought of using them for my action cam. How silly I was! This cage fits the Action 5 perfectly and adds some useful mounts to the body. Really happy with it so far and highly recommend it to anyone who has this action cam!

This cage fits my Osmo 5 Pro well, though there’s a slight gap in the lower right corner. It offers features the stock cage lacks, like cold shoe mounts and a latch design for swapping the battery without removing the camera.However, the all-plastic build has its quirks. The open design leaves buttons uncovered, making the power button harder to press and less protected than the stock cage. The latch system, while easy to open, could be sturdier.For handheld use, it works great. But I wouldn’t trust it in scenarios with heavy vibrations or impacts. Overall, it fits well and adds useful features, but with some tradeoffs.

The SmallRig OSMO Action 5 pro/4/3 cage for DJI is an interesting bit of kit, if only because of what it’s made from. Now, I'm a proper fan of SmallRig gear, usually because of that lovely, solid aluminium alloy they tend to use. This one's a bit different though, as it's made of nylon and fibreglass, which has left me a tad undecided, to be honest. It feels a fair bit lighter than my other SmallRig cage, which is both a good and a bad thing in my book.On the plus side, it's specifically designed for the DJI Action series – the 5 Pro, 4, and 3. All the button holes and the area for the touchscreen are cut out perfectly, so you can still get to everything without any bother. That's a must-have, isn't it?It's got a decent amount of mounting points too. You get three cold shoe mounts, which means you can easily attach things like LED lights or a radio mic – they even mention it works well with the DJI Mic 2 and their own LED video light. That's handy for anyone doing a bit of filming. What's also quite clever is that it's got these magnetic quick release bits on the side, so you can still use the original DJI magnetic accessories, like selfie sticks. And even better, it works with SmallRig's own quick release system, which lets you switch between shooting horizontally and vertically really fast. That could be a proper time-saver.They've also thought about keeping your camera safe. There's a lanyard hole on the side, so you can attach a safety strap – always a good idea when you're out and about filming in potentially risky situations. And a really thoughtful touch is that you can open the battery compartment and swap batteries without having to take the whole cage off. That's a proper convenience when you're trying to keep shooting without interruptions. Plus, there are rubber pads inside the frame to stop it from scratching your camera when you put it in or take it out.Now, the fact that it's made of nylon and fibreglass is where I'm a bit on the fence. While it makes it lighter, and I reckon this will be great when I'm out cycling and want to keep the weight down, I do wonder if it'll be quite as robust as my metal one. It feels well-made enough, mind you, and SmallRig generally does produce good quality stuff. It's just that I'm used to that extra bit of heft and solidness you get with alloy metal. Nylon and fibreglass can be strong, but it's a different “feel”.Lastly, I love the fact that SmallRig used nothing but cardboard packaging, tissue paper and cardboard roll to ship this cage, all of which I was able to recycle easily - nice!So, overall then, it seems like a well-designed and functional cage with some really useful features, especially the quick release system and the easy battery access. While I'm still slightly unsure about it not being metal, I can definitely see the benefits of the lighter weight for certain activities like cycling. If you're after a lighter option for your DJI Action camera without sacrificing functionality, this is probably the best you’ll get and it’s a good shout, I reckon. Smallrig makes great cages, this is no exception. It gives several additional mounting points for microphones, giving the action cam more usefulness. This is made of plastic and fits snugly to my 3 and 5. It even allows me to put my modified lens onto the 3 and still fit well.It's easy to put on and off and then easy to mount to quick release mounts. Awesome.

Das Kameragehäuse für DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro ist eine gute Alternative zum mitgelieferten Cage mit zusätzlichen Montagepunkten. Praktisch ist, dass man die Kamera auch vertikal montieren kann mit dem üblichen Magnet-Mount für Instagram, TikTok oder YouTube Shorts. Das Gehäuse ist super leicht, schützt die Kamera ein wenig und ist einfach abnehmbar oder anzubringen.

Took for ever to get my Osmo 5 but this fits well and should offer good protection. This does not add too much weight to the camera, which is good because this is going on a drone. This was a bit more than the competition but might be worth it. Looking forward to getting a lot of use out of this.

I have multiple Smallrig accessories. They are all top quality.I have the aluminum cage version of this and use it the majority of the time. I like to have a cage on my camera all the time. I just feel that it is safer. What I didn't like about the aluminum was the added weight especially if on a long selfie stick. This solves that problem since it is much less weight than its aluminum sibling.OEM plastic weight: 29 gramsSmallrig plastic weight: 31 gramsSmallrig Aluminum weight: 88 gramsThe OEM cage is fine and does a good job of protecting your camera but the biggest issue I have is the lack of being able to access the battery and memory card. This cage allows you access!The quality is what you would expect from Smallrig. It has 3 cold shoe mounts and with the bottom opening you can still use the quick magnetic mount on the camera for portrait shooting. For vertical shooting, you will use the quick magnetic mount on the cage itself. It clicked right on with no issues.I think I have a new cage for my day to day shooting and the aluminum one will be used now for extreme shooting like it the camera is mounted outside on a car just in case it falls off it will be a little bit more protected than with a plastic cage.Overall, 5 stars for another good product from Smallrig.

Great little cage for your DJI Action 5 Pro. Closing latch ocults the shutter button a little bit. The cage is well made and features a cold shoe so you can mount an external light, microphone or accessory. Open bottom allows you mount your camera to its mount.

So, this is another great item from Smallrig. I was on the fence for one star because of one pesky problem - the latch covers up part of the shutter button on the camera.... but then I figured, the benefits outweigh this minor complaint. After all, I can still use the shutter button.I love that you can open this up to get to the battery and card in the camera. Shouldn't they all do this by now? Light weight, smart design, solid build quality, versatile connection points, and a perfect fit. Yeah, I can overlook that latch over the shutter button thing I guess.
