I received this product at no cost so that I could provide a review for Amazon customers...There are many bible study journals on the market today...and I usually pass them up because I am very particular with the way that I study. I usually attend a high-end bible study class that provides excellent commentary notes on the history and culture of the scripture....however, this time I have really just been wanting to enjoy scripture and jot down my observations, how I would apply this scripture personally, and then pray that God help me internalize the personal application.SOAP did it -- I love how simple, yet provided clear directives on how to soak in the full meaning of the Word.With this bible study journal, I can go to any scripture that touches me, read it, reflect, and then find my own way of applying it to my life -- I need this. It makes it so personal...I would never want to say anything negative about other bible study journals -- each person has to find a book that supports what they are needing most. But...using the S.O.A.P. model is so ideal.This journal provides the perfect amount of space for each of the 4 categories -- I love it and plan on buying the other two colors since I can go through periods of a lot of reading. I like to save my notes and insights so that I can use them in my manuscripts when I write books.Thank you, Amazon, for your help in getting this product easy accessible to those who like to read, study, and write.

I love my book just started using it on the weekend and what I truly like about it. It forces me to study the Bible. It’s easy to understand what should be written in the book and there is enough space on each page to write your thoughts or your prayers. I ordered one for my daughter and she is enjoying hers as well. I will not hesitate to recommend this to anyone who is interested in journaling their Bible studies.

Wife here: I have just started using this journal and so far really enjoy it. The cover is a soft leather like hard back with gold embossing. I was confused what S.O.A.P. stood for at first but after opening the book I now know it stands for Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer. The first page has a Bible verse and a place to put your name, telephone number or email, and Maxim (?). The next pages are a Bible Tracker starting with the Old Testament and then moving on to the New Testament. It lists each book and then has a row of numbers in bubbles that stand for each chapter which you can fill in as you read. I think that’s a neat way to see how much of the Bible you have read and what you have yet to read. After those pages start the SOAP pages. There is a place to put what day of SOAP you are on, a bubble to fill in for the day of the week, and a place to put that days date. The SOAP pages are what makes up the rest of the book, one SOAP pages per page. The paper feels decently thick and is smooth to right on. The journal also has two bookmark ribbons. I use one to mark which books in the front I am currently reading in to make it easy to mark off chapters, and the other is to mark the current SOAP page I am on. I’m very happy with this journal so far where if a Bible verse strikes me that day I can write it down and put my thoughts and a prayer down on the page instead of a more guided reading.

This S.O.A.P. Bible Study Journal is a great journal to help you as you study God's Word, and it enables you to see how the scripture pertains to you in your own walk with the Lord.'S' For the Scripture that you are reading and studying on whatever day it is.'O' For your observations about the verses and what the verse says to you'A' For application. How can this scripture be applied in your life or in today's world. What real world applications can be gleaned from this.'P' For Prayer. What kind of conversations can you have with the Holy Father regarding what you've studied today and how can He help you put this into action in your life.I love this 'SOAP' Method of Bible Study and having the spaces to write down your feelings in this journal is great.There is also space to write down important events and even a Bible Tracker to mark off which chapters you've read in the Bible.This is a fabulous journal, and I recommend getting one for yourself and also getting one to pass along to a friend.
