We always have things that need tying down in our truck, so I ordered these for review, hoping they would be useful. We experimented a bit, and decided that combined with bungie cords and rope, yes they could be. They actually are described as "extenders" so that's how they will be used. They do seem to be strong, and the provided hardware also seems good quality. Normally, we are carrying signs. Sometimes they are large but in a wind, they could actually be lifted so we need to have ropes and cords tying them down. Otherwise, it's boxes of signs, along with boxes of installation hardware. Santa Ana winds can be brutal during some seasons, so no matter how secure everything seems, tying down is always crucial. We had an accident years ago where things unexpectedly flew off the truck, so these will go into our arsenal of solutions for securing all kinds of loads for our work.

If you use ratcheting straps, these soft loop extenders are a good accessory to have. Ratcheting straps have metal hooks on the ends. Sometimes I'm hauling something where I'm concerned that the hooks will cause scratches. I would use these soft loop extenders to attach to the cargo instead of the hooks to help prevent damage The extenders have loops on both ends. Just run the loop on one end (create a slipknot) around the object you need to secure and hook you ratcheting strap to the loop at the other end. These soft loop extenders are rated at 700 pounds load capacity, which is strong enough for furniture, dirt bikes, ATVs, etc. It would be safest to use multiple soft loop extenders, each secured at various points to help spread the load. The quality seems to be on par with your typical ratcheting strap. It comes with six stainless steel carabiners, but they seem a little weak and would no doubt flex under load. The hooks on your ratchetings straps are definitely stronger. My suggestion would be to use the carabiners only if necessary. I would feel safer placing the hook of my ratcheting strap directly onto the loop of the soft loop extender. At the end of the day, this is a good accessory to have at a very reasonable price.
