I've had it in place for a month now and it appears to be working well. I'll update my review in 6 to 8 months to let you know the status.

I usually choose lights that are soft white. This light is white and very bright! It’s actually perfect, because it brightens my flag even more! I have both the light and the charging station in the ground. Such a great buy!!!

I have a 22 foot flag pole with a solar light affixed to the top. Sometimes I want to fly two flags, and the lower flag is not illuminated at night, so I got this one that attaches below the flag. It comes with all the hardware needed to mount it, and also stakes if you don't want to mount it to a pole. I didn't need directions to figure it out, but it comes with some in case you need them. The quality is good, and it lights up my flag. It is made so it can fit different size flag poles, mine is maybe 2" diameter but not sure. I'm including some images of the flag with only the top light vs. with this one also lit. They are a bit blurry but I think the difference is still evident. One feature I found weird is that it has a setting where it flashes, and one that is almost like a strobe light, but it also has the standard always on option.

I got this to mount on a flagpole that I’m planning to install in my front yard. When Spring finally arrives. Which will probably won’t happen for about 6 weeks yet.Living in Northern Wisconsin, Mother Nature, throws us some curveballs this time of year. As you can see in the picture of my front yard. We just had a snow storm over the weekend that dropped 5-6 inches of snow. There is another storm rolling in tonight that’s predicted to drop another 3-5 inches of snow. It’s April 1st, so Mother Nature must be playing an April fool’s joke on us.So I won’t be able to install my flag pole and mount this light for a while yet. I did unbox it though to have a look and charge up the battery pack. I’m impressed with the quality of this light kit.Everything seems to be well made and of excellent quality. It even includes a bag of spare hardware parts, which is rare in this day and age. The medal mounting brackets are nicely painted white and seem to be plenty heavy enough steel to hold the spot light. Which is heavy for its size and also appears well made.As always, if you have read any of my reviews about solar gadgets, you know that I’m a big fan. Because of all the positives versus hard wired, electric equivalent gadgets. No wires to run, easy to install and no cost to operate after initial purchase. Because the sun provides free power. The listing claims that this unit has a “smart” chip. This chip is supposed to adjust the light according to the weather conditions. If it’s cloudy/rainy for a couple of days and the solar panel doesn’t recharge the batteries. The “smart” chip will automatically decrease the output current as the power capacity decreases, thereby providing longer lighting time. Usually 2-night even on cloudy days. It may decrease the brightness in the later half of night. This is a great feature, if it works as advertised.
