This solar powered area light is good quality for the price. It assembled easily and mounted on our barn to illuminate a side yard. I do not think that it delivers 30,000lumens at it's brightest...probably 25,000lm which is a lot. Yes, I'm in the lighting business. If you live in an area where you get lots of clouds (snow or rain areas) or in a very cold climate, this light will probably disappoint you for obvious reasons - the solar panels require a good amount of sun every day to charge the battery to power the LEDs. Less sun = less bright for less time every night. Furthermore, lithium ion batteries do not like the super cold just like LEDs don't like super hot. This light is best used when you use the motion sensor setting to conserve the battery/output. It is nice that instead of being on/off with the motion sensor, it dims the light to 30% output and then pops up to 100% output when it senses motion up to 20' away. I'm concerned that there is not an adequate heat sink on the back side of the LED board which means that the output of the LEDs will degrade quicker.

Bought these lights 3/2025. Both stopped working. When I pressed the on/off button in an attempt to reset. Water dripped out of the button. Obviously they are not waterproof. I am very disappointed and would not recommend.

I like this super bright solar light. I have been trying different small and large scale solar lights, and this light is unique in the sense it has dual solar panels one on back of the light and the other is a separate panel. Best for backyard patio and I am satisfied with the motion sensor. I didn’t use the hinge mechanism to fully setup with angles but there is a bunch of nuts and bolts for different needs and setup, so that’s great if you have different setup needs. Also this is the best price I found so far for the specs on the light and I love it. Highly recommend for giving it a try!

The things I really like about this Deepn Solar Light is its moderate size (neither too large nor too small), ease of assembly, the bright light it produces, the powerful solar battery, and the versatility of the hand controller. There are multiple adjustments available to control brightness, timed lighting, and motion detection. Very impressive. The light radius produced is fairly large for its size (see attached picture). However, a few things concerned me. The instruction booklet that was included was not clear to me. I could have used a little more basic instruction presented in a more orderly fashion. Also, the weight of the light extending out from the pole worries me a bit. (See attached picture). Maybe it shouldn't. Where the arm is welded to the bracket that is fastened to a wall or pole experiences tremendous, leveraged, downward pull. Perhaps an angled brace would give more of a feeling of security that it won't snap off at the base in brisk wind or by gravity itself. I'm thinking I may have received a returned solar light because the fasteners had been disturbed and there were 2 nuts and a bolt missing. Fortunately I had bolts & nuts in my garage and replaced them without difficulty for the installation. I installed my light on a 4"x4" treated, wooden, tether-ball post (see attached picture) so my grandkids could see to play at night. I used my own extended length bolts in order to clamp on to the 4" post. The light also serves as a deterrent to unwanted visitors to our backyard. Overall, it appears to do well all it was designed to do, but, with a few criticisms listed above.
