I needed a sound chip that I could load an MP3 onto and that was programmable (could set to only play while button was pushed) as well as small enough to fit inside a cosplay prop. This one fit the bill once I created a CONFIG.TXT file with "2" as the entry. As for the size, I wasn't sure if the PC board extended behind the battery or not from the listing photos. Upon receipt, I saw it did extend, but there were no circuits there. I was able to score the board several times on both sides with a blade and snap it in two.There is a slight 1/2 second delay before sound plays, but I was able to mitigate it mostly by using a WAV file instead of an MP3.

These were meant for a DIY decoration. The easily programmed or downloaded sound made this a defintie must buy again for a sound DIY toy or decoration. Versatile

You got to do a little research to figure out how to put it in the right mode to do what you want, but the sound quality is good for what it is. Very easy to use.
