This has been working well with my L1 EVSE and is long enough so the charger can reach my car. I appreciate the look of the bright yellow jacket. Good value I think! It's been outside constantly since purchasing and has not had any issues with water.I will be replacing the outlet it is used in with a weather resistant box and the cord looks flexible enough to work with it.

The packaging of the cord I received indicates made in the US. The sheath is heavy yellow thermoplastic and is stamped STJW, which means water resistant but not specifically rated for oil resistance. The ends are translucent plastic and the receptacle end has an orange indicator lamp to indicate when power is live. The conductors are labeled 12/3 which is enough for a 1,875 Watt load. I have to take the manufacturer’s word for the conductor size. The cord length seems to be pretty close to the promised 50 feet.I purchased this product for my own use.At the very affordable price, it seems hard to go wrong with this cord unless you need a cord specifically rated for oil resistance. I believe this is the lowest cost 50 foot 12/3 extension cord listed on this site.

What a great price on a heavy duty 12/3 extension cord, everyone local were asking more than this for thin low amperage 16/3 wire. This doesn’t feel cheap, the ends seemed to be very well molded to the cord.I only gave it 4 stars because it makes absolutely no sense why anyone would make a cord out of 12 gauge wire, that’s rated for carrying 20 Amps, and then ruin that by putting male and female plugs on the end that are only rated for 15 Amps. Why why why would anyone do that? Luckily you can cut the 15A ends off and easily replace them with 20 Amp ends so you can get full use of this cord to run higher Amperage power tools and equipment.

This extension cord is well made and sturdy. It is heavier than what I was used to (with the 14/3 guage-100 foot cord), but that will sere as part of my strength exercising!
