Pimsleur is a great language learning tool. I use it in the car while commuting so a traffic delay is filled with more instructional lessons

I have worked with different Spanish course including famous Rosetta Stone and recently Yabla, but these did not make me speak Spanish.. Rosetta stone help build vocabulary somewhat, but I still could not use these words in a sentence to speak. Yabla may help for improve listening and understanding, but I had to spend my spare time to do it, and it does not help for speaking in Spanish. Only Pimsleur helps for speaking in Spanish. I did not even have to spend extra time. I listen to it while driving only, and repeat each course repeatedly, speak each sentence loud. I have finished all the 4 courses and my colleague are surprised that I am speaking Spanish and I have impressed my Spanish speaking customers in different occasions.

The product was listed as NEW, but did not include the workbook for the Writing Lessons. Not sure what happened to it.Other than that the product was fine.

I am working my way through this course and it is working. I use it while I drive (even though they tell you not to) and it works well. Most lessons I listen to twice, but it is probably not necessary. I just like to be sure I got it. I do not expect to have a high level of fluency by the end of the course. However, I think I will have a great starting point to begin to immerse myself with spanish speakers and not be totally embarrassed. I do not use the lessons every day, but usually at least twice a week and I am still learning. So if you get the course, don't feel like you can't miss a day without messing up the learning plan.
