This spare tire hoist is made of reinforcing steel, Steel components feature a combination of rugged E-Coat paint and durable plating to prevent rust and corrosion
The hoist rope can’t all go into the spare tire winch box ,or it will easily get stuck
The hoist rope will be loose with no load, recommend to have load on at all times
The spare tire hoist can be located underneath the rear your vehicle and can be accessed by removing the spare tire. Installation requires no special tools

Didn't last 18 months, used it twice to check spare at Discount Tire , junk can't recommend this at all. Don't waste your money...
