I like that it protects speaker against water and debris coming into the door area. Takes away from deeper sound but can cut open the end to get more bass tones

Too small for my speakers or if they have a decent magnet and flimsy thin foam boom mats are better quality. Refund would be great

These worked great for the outside speakers on out RV. The old baffles didn’t seal from outside so we had water intrusion and damage. Old one never really muffled the speakers inside the camper. These have kept us dry inside with no more unwanted tunes inside when the radio is on.

My Honda had 150K on the clock. The door speaker baffles had long rotted away. Water exposure from inside the door was a contributing factor. So I replaced the factory speakers with new factory speakers considering needed window clearance.I once had a Chevy Silverado that was plagued by door speakers that were prematurely done in by water. So these foam guards were a no-brainer considering the cost of replacing speakers. On the Honda, they slipped right in the hole. Make sure to cut a hole at the BOTTOM of the foam so not only to get the power wire to the speaker but also, to allow the speaker to vent while playing. You want to place this hole at the bottom to also allow any moisture to weep if needed. My hole was approximately 2" across x 1" deep.Remember, the goal isn't to encase the speaker and make it airtight but rather, to shield it from water coming from above. Minus one star for being somewhat pricey for a simple piece of foam...

Installed in outer wall of camper. Had to remove flange and install from inside with silicone. Too tight to insert from outside and then install speaker. Works fine.

A definite item for anyone wishing to protect and enhance the sound quality of their interior speakers wether you have a stock or hifi setup. The foam arrives in a plastic bag and occasionally they will be slightly deformed they reshape on their own do that is no consequence. To install you must remove the door panel to access the speaker. {Follow the manufacturers steps to remove as all cars are different}Once the panel is out, unscrew the speaker from the door and disconnect the positive and negative connections. NOTE where you want your wiring to sit and mock up the foam baffle in the speaker hole. Using a razor knife or scissors, snip a small 1/8 inch slot where the wire will enter. Slip the wire through and then connect the positive and negative connors to the speaker appropriately. Now screw your speaker back onto the door securing it.Replace your door panel reversing the steps you removed it in and there's only three more to go.This protects your speaker from water that enters from the edges of the window felt or water kicked up into the door drains when going through a puddle. For sound enhancement this product directs the bass outward instead of allowing the sound to rattle inside your door skins.Try it, you won't be disatisfied.

AN ABSOLUTE MUST FOR ANY SPEAKER MOUNTED WITHOUT THE BENEFIT OF A BAFFLE, SPEAKER ENCLOSURE OR SEALED DOOR PANEL/REAR DECK AREA. If you don't trust me take the ones you already likely have mounted and add a pair of these to the back of them and then listen to them again. It can make a world of difference. If you really love your music I would absolutely say these are an must for any stereo system that has a need. If you're not lucky enough to have speaker enclosures for all of your car audio speakers then just add these. Good distributor as well! On time delivery and came with other mix and matched pieces I had ordered. All in time for my installation. Too bad the other stuff didn't come as promised. but that in no way reflects on this seller.

Put these in a Honda S2000 with 6.5" speakers in the doors. Was having problems with rain coming in on the passenger side door, and messing up the speaker connection. I decided to slightly cut these baffles at the bottom for the speaker wires. And slightly cut out the area where the screws go into the speaker door adapter. A very tight fit, but it works. No problems in the rain so far!Looks a bit mickey moused with the door card off, but no one could tell with the door card back on. The bass may be a bit decreased but hits harder if that makes any sense. A subwoofer in the trunk takes care of what's missing. Previously I had a very expensive pair of DLS Iridium speakers that were ruined from rain water.
